I understand you do this in your free time too, I respect that as much as myself creating work for this site. About the quality guide page linked on the homepage. Yes it is there, though linked to the forum, a forum full with a lot of text. For me (and I guess a lot of new users) a page (not forum) with a description and example images of what is acceptable and what not would help and make it much easier to oversee then a lot of forum topics/post.

Anyway, by here the cover with the new front:

Cheers

Nice. Much better.

Was Puggsy really by compile?

Unfortunately, pictures of everything not acceptable would be way too large of a page.  But I agree we do need to be more accessible to new users.  The only people that seem to stick around are those of us that have been here forever, and those prepared to sift through the history to learn, so I guess we've never really had a need to change things.

We're a friendly bunch, but we all have real lives that take precedence (apart from Arseen who lives here), so we need to prioritize. And that's generally checking submitted covers, or creating our own, rather than changing what's already here.

Anyone has Sparkster, the one on the site is kind of bad quality. Greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hey guys, new to the forums. i just started the long process of putting all my old games in cases, and figured I would contribute where I could.

I uploaded a few of my own scans to the site, but there was one in particular that I had problems with. Winter Challenge by Accolade for the Sega Genesis. This game is not selectable on the upload page, so I figured I'd put it here. I did a search for the game title here but couldn't find anything so I apologize if this is a repost. Also, if this is in the wrong spot let me know and I'll post it somewhere else. This seemed like the best spot. Thanks!

Am I the only guy who was unfortunate enough to receive this game as a gift in their youth?

Marsupilami Retail/CUSTOM - UGC Sized
I did a custom back that is aligned with the retail text and screenshot placements.  The background on the retail was just a bit too much time to try and clean right now.

RETAIL PREVIEW - TEXT STILL OVERLAYED
If someone wants the PSD file to complete fixing the back, I can provide.

Bonkers - RETAIL Genesis Sized
Found this on another site, made by a Dougie007, posting this here because I had a HELL of a time finding a Bonkers cover that wasn't AWFUL.

I searched everywhere and couldn't find a cover for Risky Woods. Thankfully someone scanned in a decent raw of it so I decided to make one. I'll try to upload it as usual but I doubt it will make it as usual. So, here's the link to download it off my server.

Awesome! Any chance you could send me your cleaned up PSD?  I'd like to rework this for Genesis sized and EA sized cases vs. just the UGC :).

Thanks!,

James Pond - Underwater Agent - UGC
** I will be creating a cover for the WIDE EA Game case for this and the other James Pond games. :-)
I also have a better image for the front cover, so I may go back and improve this if I ever want to hunt down all the fonts.

Feedback welcomed!

I don't have a PSD as I just worked straight off the RAW scan and didn't really need to create any layers. However, I did make another one that's sized for the Genesis cases I can upload. That's one I'm using and it fits nicely in an EA case. I can also upload the RAW file after I cleaned it up, but before I did any resizing.

Cleaned raw would be awesome! :)  It's pretty simple to fix the spine for most EA titles, since the background is typically just 2 colors.  I bought a bunch of EA game cases to house the orphans, so I need to double check the spine sizes etc when I print since they are slightly larger.  The James Pond I just posted was a luck find.  I wanted the game, but there was no cover, since it's in a cardboard box it's hard to find a good box as well.. Found one at a game store, and when I was checking out the clerk stacked all the games up and crushed the cardboard.  GRRRRRR. Luckily it didn't damage the back or the front, just the spine a bit.  But I'm putting it in a case anyway, so it didn't really matter as long as I could get a good scan! :)
