Great job on the Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 cover.  I've been looking for a cover with the stripes, as the one on the site has a solid red spine.

thanks! Needs work, but I need a better scan to make it happen!

Jup sadly. I checked it yesterday but is not ready to replace our current one. The front and back art need a lot more cleaning or a better/cleaner scan.

Yeah, it definitely does!! It was really a quick hack apart job. I couldn't track down a RAW to fix those issues.. :-/  A sega CD/Saturn front/manual would probably be the best resolution for the front image.

So... I checked the raws and there is a Sega Saturn Manual!! And it has everything I need to re-build the Genesis cover..  Including an unencumbered skeleton back page on the manual, so I won't have to patch over every little text hole.. :-P  I'll see if I can shape those scans up and get a new cover out!

Here's some raw scans if they'll help.

EDIT: NVM, looks like your still regularly active lol. That actually reminds me, if I'm not mistaken it was you that I got a cover scan for The Punisher on the Genesis a while back. Any chance you have the manual available to scan as well?

a god among men!! These will definitely help make it look more retail.. I may still steal from the Saturn covers a little, but placement of screenshots and barcodes it's great to have the original! :)

Thanks!,

Hi guys.

I wasn't satisfied with the insert options for Shining Force 2 and Phantasy Star 4, so I did a little bit of patching in Paint to try to fix them up.

Shining Force 2 had a pretty good retail insert already available, but if you looked closely at it, you would see a faint line around the Shining Force 2 logo on the spine, and some of the diagonal lines running from the front of the box to the back were a little jagged and uneven around the spine logo.

I spent some time removing the line around the logo and getting the diagonal lines a little more even.

Phantasy Star 4 had a retail insert, but it was a raw scan of the box with color fading on the front, and very noticeable creases on other areas. It had some nice looking inserts too, but none of them were of the retail artwork (the closest had the retail front but a custom back). I merged the two sources to get something that looks like the actual retail artwork without all the creases and faded colors.

Hope you guys like them.

The Punisher doesn't sound familiar. You may have gotten it from someone else, but I'll check and see if I can get it.

Hmm, I guess it's a possibility. I've just gotten a serious amount of NES, SNES and Genesis scans from you a couple years back. Figured it was a good possibility I got it from you. Let me know if you manage to track one down. Thanks!

Just a few minor nitpics. The Sega logo on the spine is missing, and the Sega logo above "Genesis" on the front should be removed since it's already present on the bottom red strip (which should be solid red). That, and the product ID # is missing from the spine as well. The ID# is 5503. Lookin' good though!
