...The fact that they had technical difficulties during the Zelda showcase, where they wanted to show the Wii Motion + features didn't help either...
The new Goldeneye..I don't know. Multiplayer is out of the question for me, at least online multiplayer...
I'm not sure about the 3DS yet, I have to see it with my own eyes to fully understand it. I liked how enthusiastic they were about it and that they are really convinced of it. The new Kid Icarus game looked great. An all new and original(!!!) Metal gear and Resident Evil were awesome announcements, but I have to see the hardware first and experience what it does to me to decide.
Those were really sad. Giant Bomb said that they played it on the floor, and it was nowhere even close to as bad. Someone there said it wasn't "1:1", animation matching remote, but it was close. I think the lights fucked with the IR sensor on stage.

Is the latency horrible on any P2P shooter for you?

Giant Bomb thought the 3DS was great, and it worked really well. Indirect quote "I wasn't really sold on the DS and Wii, and those turned out really good. But I'm sold from the start on the 3DS."

The tech demo at E3 looked like MGS3[DS]. There's no telling what the real game will be.

As much as I love Goldeneye, I hate the idea of remakes. JUST MAKE SOMETHING NEW!! Then again the reasoning for it is always money, and I hear it plays well. I'm still an advocate for new experiences rather than remakes. Nostalgia is what virtual console/play n trade/ebay is for....

I'm also excited to hear the 3DS was actually well made. I'm also glad that they realized some people would want to turn it off as well. Either way, it seems like all my favorite games seem to be moving to the 3DS and away from the PSP, so I no longer have to dedicate myself to choosing either the PSP or DS when I go on a trip. I'm kind of surprised they didn't try to step Sony up with a better analog nub and/or 2 nubs. No idea what the media format is going to be either o.0

Yeah I read several hands-on impressions and they all said the control works really well. I didn't expect anyting different it was just a bit sad that they didn't take any precautions to ensure the Wiimote is working fine. As I said, I know the game will be great and I will buy it no matter what. I have yet to see a bad Zelda game (NOT counting the CDI games als real Zelda games here :) )

No it's not the latency, I have a good boradband internet connection and there's no problem with lag. No, it's more I find playing online multiplayer on Wii way too uncomfortable. You have to deal with friend codes, there's no game chat (Wii speak is just crap, transmitting all the ambient noise in he room as well). I'm spoilt by PSN and expecially XBOX Live when it comes to multiplayer functionality. So I don't bother with online multiplayer on Wii and prefer local multiplayer. The only game I play online every now and then is Endless Ocean. Diving with a firend, just relaxing, what agreat game.

If only I could play online across regions. Even if I have the PAL game, I need to somehow get an IP in Europe for the Nintendo servers to let me play online. I don't know why, considering it's just P2P.

There was a 3rd party headset at this E3, but nothing official. You can't just use any USB headset in the Wii.

Nintendo does that too? Ip blocking? I thought only Microsoft were that strict. They block a lot of marketplace content via IP check. I created a fake UK account to download the DLC and arcade games that are blocked in Germany but these bastards check the IP. You have to be pretty fast and get the stuff when it's released or you're screwed. I was lucky to get Doom 2 and the Gears Of War 2 All Fronts DLC. I'm sure they're blocked by now. Doom, Duke Nukem, Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, they're all blocked. Hell, they even block the themes from Gears Of War. I can't download the free mappack for Gears 1 because of IP check :(

You can use a proxy or use a VPN tunnel to bypass all that, but that exceeds my computer knowledge. I figure the next time I go on vacation in other European countries I just bring my Xbox with me. Sony doesn't bother by the way. They don't block IPs. The only thing you have to worry about is getting PSN cards in the currency you need.

I thought it was a great e# and Nintendo killed this year. Redemption for the past 2 years.
