I had no idea the gradient spilled over onto the spine. I hope it wasn't hard to extend that. It looks great Wolf! My only note is that the screenshots on the back are slightly rounded I think. Too, I'll make you a different seal of quality. The one you used has some discoloration around the edges.

The gradient was just an easy drag-fill (for doing that MS Paint is easier to use than GIMP, believe it or not).  For the screenshots, I couldn't tell if they were rounded on purpose or because they simply appeared rounded because someone was taking a picture of a CRT (low-res back I was using for a guide wasn't really clear).  Regarding the seal, the old-style seal I have was lifted off of another cover and re-purposed.  I redid the inner text and Nintendo logo for this cover, but the exterior part of the seal is somewhat low quality.  I have a great new-style seal on file that vlad made, but I've just been scraping by with this older version when I need it.  It doesn't look too bad normally, but this cover brought out some of the ugly qualities of it, especially given that it had a clear background.  If you want to make a nice vector of that seal I'd definitely be grateful! :)

Now that I'm looking at it, Bandai also used this template for Ninja Kid, another one that needs a cover.  The only difference is the screenshots (obviously), the little dude on the front is a Ninja instead of a nekkid angel, and the logo bars are green instead of blue.  If I scan the cart and manual for that game, could you put together the game logo and ninja guy on front?  I could probably handle the rest.

No problem, I'll get Ninja Kid done today! I only have low res pictures to look at but the images on the back of Chubby... It look (to me) like they are on a TV or made to look like they are on a TV, similar to the front screenshot. I could be wrong.

Cheers! :D

You're probably right about the screenshots.  A lot of game boxes have an intentionally rounded border on their screenshots on the back, and others I've done are (mostly) rectangular but have that fish-eye effect due to them being taken from a convex CRT so in those cases if I have to redo screenshots I just leave them as their normal rectangular shape.  I just checked an ebay auction and it looks like the back two are slightly rounded at the bottom so I guess I'll go back and see if I can round them out a little.

One more cover for now.  I've had the box to this one but the game cart I got was in poor condition (yay for vague ebay descriptions!  :-\ ) so I didn't prioritise this cover, but I just realised how selfish I am for allowing the world to go so long without a cover for Baseball Simulator 1.000.  I hope this will not prevent me from finding paradise in the afterlife.

And good grief were there a lot of baseball games on NES.  :o

Oh wow Baseball Simulator 1.000. My friend has this and we play it all the time. It's one of the best and most bizarre, games on the NES. Thanks Wolf!

I had the SNES version as a kid and it's my favourite baseball game of all time.  I should really pick it up.

I have the NES cart.

The SNES version had NES like graphics so they're both probably pretty similar.

You could customize and edit names and stats for a league of teams and give your guys super powers.

I've did a few 162-0 seasons back in the day

Another one, with the scans courtesy of Yukon Cornelius.  Not sure if it's quite as nice as silver and gold, but here's a cover for Magic Darts.
