Who wait, are there SNES controller covers somewhere here?  I'm interested if there are.

@BadChad: Sure I'll give a horizontal version a try.

@djshock: Yep. I ended up making several variations using the art that was on the controller box, so you can house several controllers. It's in my box account, or I posted them in the Covers for Peripheral Equipment topic: http://www.thecoverproject.net/forums/index.php?topic=3263.msg59046#msg59046

Actually, BadChad, I'm having trouble getting the artwork to work horizontally because of the placement of the original title (which I covered up on my vertical version). Here's a PSD with everything from my vertical version if you want to take a crack at it. The artwork I used was here: http://www.jap-sai.com/Games/Mario_and_Wario/Mario_and_Wario_SFCMouse_A.jpg

I had to modify that to make the art fit on the vertical version (removing the japanese logo at the top, filling in Wario's hat), so I included my shopped version in the PSD. I've not made a horizontal before, so if you think you can make the front art work, then I'd love to see what you come up with.

See what you boys can do with this.

Cleaned up a fair amount of the artifacting create by the resizing, still about 30-40% left. Don't have the time to finish it unfortunately, realistically it would print fine anyway. Just being a bit obsessive haha.

Wow! Fantastic job Azarkhel! That really cleaned it up a lot, and nice job fixing my right side extension and removing the logo!

Look's like I'll have a V2 of my vertical cover shortly! And once the SNES cart sticker template is available, I can make a sticker for the game. My plan is to see if its possible to take the innards of the SFC game and put them in an SNES shell.

I could use your shopping skills if I track down high-res box art for Mario is Missing, Mario's Time Machine and Mario Teaches Typing 1 & 2... (no Mario game left behind!)

Spolier alert, press quote to easily read the following:

Answer to the question is yes you can switch innards of the SFC/US SNES/PAL SNES carts.

Azarkhel, sent you a PM regarding the template.

On a semi-related note if someone could help me track down high res art for Mario is Missing, Mario's Time Machine, Mario's Game Gallery/Mario's FUNdamentals and Mario Teaches Typing 1 & 2, I'm going to attempt vertical SNES covers for the first two, and I'd like to make some PC covers in a Nintendo style for all of them. I'm not having much luck on these yet...

I had 3 or 4 of these in the past with Mario, Bowser and Peach from Super Mario RPG on them, wonder where I found them?

1) Sometimes we do. It really depends on who's making the cover
2) Not everyone is into the Japanese art
3) Making it look like the US art keeps a collection looking uniform
