I have been brainstorming on a retro concept which I am calling the Master of Retro Video Games. I'll make a new domain/site for it. Here's the idea...

Figure out who the best players are for certain games. For example who can get the high score NES Super Mario Bros high. Set a certain time frame and have an amazing prize. A custom golden copy of Super Mario Bros complete with a custom case! After so many champions are crowned, they are all brought together at a gaming convention or multiple gaming conventions to crown the Master of Video Games! The prize will be something like a one of a kind custom portable...

What is everyone's thoughts on the subject? Feedback is appreciated and will help me out greatly!

Kind of but we are only going to do it one game at a time, offer free prizes and will actually allow Youtube and Blip videos.

There are a ton of hoops you need to jump through for twin galaxies in order to actually get your score on the site. I have one top score on their site and I actually had to do it live in front of a judge because everytime I submitted a video they had some kind of issue.
