Please also don't forget to make horizontal style covers for games which we have no cover for too....

You know those vertical covers are pretty nice looking but there are many people here(including me ;D ) who love to use the horizontal style as well...

  • ...and that's the bottom line
The more vertical covers pop up her the more I dig them and get an itch to PM some of my American friends here to get me some of them UGCs :)

Great work everyone!

What I would like to see more of would be "real" custom covers. Resembling the retail cover is definitely preferred, but imagine a cover for a game like Spawn. You could use the RAW scan of the actual box which is in our raw scan section, or you could use tons of different artwork found on the net. Same goes for Final Fantasy and the likes, games wth huge fanbases and/or plenty of high res artwork through artbooks or wallpapers.

oops, didn't notice that the back cover font was Arial, I've been using Myriad Pro, I'll switch it over and re-up SoM and ActRaisers covers with the fixes.

The new covers look great :) I'm glad more people have started making vertical SNES covers.

Nice, I've been waiting for a Harvest Moon cover.   ;D

The cover graphic could use a little color correction though.

@akumu

Make sure when you make a vertical cover for a game that we don't have on the site convert it to the horizantal template.
There are probably a lot more who use the horizantal template, that way everyone is happy.

So please convert Harvest Moon to the horizantal template

got a question for shenske -

when it comes to using the "only for" labeling in the template, is a game considered "only for" if it was exclusive to the SNES compared to only contemporary consoles, ie the Genesis etc, or all systems ever released.

like the Final Fantasy games, they originally where "only for" SNES and not its direct market competitors, but they later found their way to PSX, GBA, etc, years later, after the 16 bit era was over.  What's your call?

Well don't forget that at the time of it's release FF was "only for" SNES. True that we customize the cover now for UGC and we know for a fact that it is not "only for" SNES, but I say "keep it!". We should try to keep covers as close to the original as we can.

P.S. DON'T START THAT "CLOSE TO THE ORIGINAL VERTICAL PSX" STUFF.. THIS IS NOT THE FORUM FOR IT!.............. AND YES.. I DO HAVE DOUBLE STANDARDS!
If you have nothing to do... Don't do it here!
