Shenske your Star Fox 2 covers are absolutely fabulous! May I pretty please trouble you for a vertical Super Famicom version?

I agree also. We host covers for devices such as GameSharks and flash cards, intangible games such as WiiWare, fan made games/hacks such as Beats of Rage: Castlevania Symphony of Destruction (made by shenske as well), even other unreleased games like the DreamCast version of Half-Life (also made by shenske).

I see no reason at all why shenske's StarFox 2 cover shouldn't be uploaded. It would be a shame if we didn't cuz it's a damn nice cover. (I'm liking the vertical template more and more with each new game btw)

I'm glad you like the vertical version its my personal favorite style.  Those other covers i made probably shouldn't technically be on the site.  I really wish the covers could be hosted too but its not my choice  :)

The StarFox 2 cover looks great. Where does the art come from?

An astrology site i found, starfox 1 for snes and starfox adventures for gcn

Here is my first attempt at a conversion to the vertical template  :) A game that was always one of my favorites for some unexplainable reason...

BattleToads & Double Dragon: The Ultimate Team

Did I screw anything up? comments? suggestions?

Also, my screenshots didn't fit in the boxes correctly, so i had to squish them a little vertically. Is there a better way to do this?

Great job on the cover, it looks really good
  :)

I only see one small thing to correct.  The bottom right on the back the date says 1991 and it should be 1993.

I look forward to seeing more covers out of you in the future ;)

The screenshot dimension thing is correct - the SNES (generally) runs in the near-square 256x240 resolution, but when output to a TV set, the image is stretched to a 4:3 ratio to fit the TV screen. As such, the rectangular shots on the back of the box are more representative of what's actually going to be showing on your TV.

Wow Shenske,

This is great stuff.  I'll recover my SNES when you work through more of the library.  Awesome nonetheless.

That's a nice bit of info to know, thanks.

TMNT IV was a pain due to no good quality scans. The horizontal cover we have is actually made from the PAL cover, with 'Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles' still on the front  ::)

Good job, i like them, keep it up  ;D

I would recommend using a drop shadow around the Castlevania and TMNT:TinT logo on the back to make it pop out more.
Also, try making the font on the back slightly smaller so it has a little bit of breathing room at the bottom.

you don't have to do either of these things its just what i would do.  ;)

thanks for the tips :)  The drop shadows do look nice. one question though, your drop shadows on the logos look like they surround the whole image, while I can only get mine to go on one side (set the angle for a light source to determine direction). Is that a different effect other than drop shadow, or is there a setting I don't know about?

You would be correct my shadow do surround the whole image equally on all sides.  Just set the distance on the drop shadow to 0.
