When I uploaded them @ first I had the DPI settings all wrong.  However, I corrected the DPI issues and uploaded them again.  Let me know if they are alright in that regard and if not I can correct the images.

I wasn't really pleased with my original SNES cover using the arcade art.  This art is from the SNES cart scanned at 1200dpi then converted using vectormagic.  Hope you guys like it  ;D

The King of Dragons Vertical

The King of Dragons Horizantal

Looks good, that game was such a rip off of Golden Axe!  But it was still fun

In my opinion i think this game is way better than golden axe.
KOD is in my top five favorite SNES games.

I do own both Golden Axe and King of Dragons but i don't find the game to be a rip off.
The only reason that i could see that it was a "rip off" was that both games are based in medieval times.
KOD was much smoother and has a way better system of leveling up and getting newer stronger weapons.

There are a bunch games using the same arcade fighting format (TMNT:arcade, Double Dragon, Battletoads etc.)

  • ...and that's the bottom line
Well, these side scrolling brawlers ripped each other off over and over. Basically they're all the same with just minor differences in gameplay. The biggest difference are the graphics and the setting. I guess it all boils down to the same thing: which one suits your taste the most, Final Fight or Streets Of Rage, Golden Axe or King Of Dragons / Knights Of The Round, Turtles In Time or Battletoads and so on...

I guess I'm just partial to SEGA, but wasn't Golden Axe the first?

Double Dragon on nes came out a year before golden axe was released.

Like i said they are all fun i just happen to like KOD the best.

i own all the MKs on SNES so i had to finish up the collection in the vertical style.  :)

Mortal Komabat II

Mortal Kombat 3

Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3

all of them together

tell me what you think  :)

EDIT: I made PAL versions as well, the differences aren't huge so i did not preview them.
Also, from now on i will probably only make NTSC-J covers upon request as they take much longer to make.

As nice as the custom covers are, I'm not going to convert my upcoming SNES covers to this new template. If someone else wants to do it, I will be happy to provide the raws so they have something to work with, though.

Anyway, here's another new one.

Mortal Kombat 3 - SNES EU PAL

I know there is a US NTSC one, but it doesn't hurt having the PAL one as well. I used Bungleboy's template The original had a red frame on the front, so I changed it accordingly.

EDIT: Fixed black levels on the front.

Horizontal SNES covers are always very welcome.... I think there are still many people(like me) who prefer the original SNES style....

Thanks a lot Dante! :)

To quit talking and actually doing something I sat down and finished two SNES covers from my collection.....

Here ya go:

Dungeon Master - US:
http://www.thecoverproject.net/view.php?cover_id=7844

Indiana Jones Greatest Adventures - PAL:
http://www.thecoverproject.net/view.php?cover_id=7845

For Dungeon Master I used a template for the first time in my life(shenskes SNES template)... I must say a template has it's advantages but also it's disadvantages.... It's good that you got much to alter and the background is cleaned and looking very sharp from the begining BUT there is also so much in this template that it can confuse pretty much(there are many many layers).... Another little problem is that same of the legal stuff for this cover wasn't in the template(I suppose it's impossible to include everything) so my cover is only 85% retail..... ;)

Have fun....
