That's what I always do. I like consistency. Especially for series.

Man, that Homare stuff just isn't out there in high res it seems.  I checked pretty much every resource I have for that sort of thing, and all I could come up with is the same low res images that you posted.  It would seem that there just aren't any high res scans of those particular works (and honestly, there's very little of his stuff that's high enough res for what we're doing here).

Might want to pick a different artist, my friend :/

Buuuut, in my pursuit of those works, I did find a good supply of really great Street Fighter art.  Are you looking for JUST Chun Li images?  I can make a ZIP/RAR for you and shoot it over in an email if you like ;)

Not necessarily Chun-Li, just the girls. Though on Turbo it has to be Chun-Li cause there aren't any other girls in that game. For Alpha 2 it could be either Chun-Li, Rose or Sakura. Though I appreciate the gesture, I have an enormous high res collection of SF images (about 2 GB in fact). It's just that Homare has the best artwork... The only option would be to actually buy his work and scan.

Or Cammy.  I have 3 images of Cammy that he did which are large enough to use for this and 1 that's a tad too small IMO, but you may be able to work it into the back of the cover or something.  As far as the Alpha girls go, it doesn't seem like he has done any solo images of them.  This is the only image of any of the Alpha characters that I found, and it'd be tricky to dissect and use as far as I'm concerned.  Rose is the only character that has any sort of presence in the image.  You could collage Rose with Sakura and the twins flanking them I suppose.  That would be a ton of work though :/

I like this guy's work, but it's a tad dated IMO.  Has that sorta 90's anime look and they're not dynamic enough for me.  The characters all seem sorta static, even in the "action" shots.    Nicely Illustrated and rendered, but lacking that little bit of extra oomph to make 'em really pop IMO.

Using the Cammy images for Turbo and the Chun Li image you used with the vertical kick seem like the best options IMO.  Either way, good luck on your hunt for the rest of the images in high res!  ;D  Lemme know if you find 'em.  I wouldn't mind having high res versions of those images (assuming you wouldn't mind sharing).

Cammy wasn't in Turbo. On the SNES she was only in Super. Turbo was basically SF2 with selectable bosses and speed select. If she was, I'd have used her in a heartbeat (she's my favorite character after all).
As for Alpha, I DID find a solo Rose picture by Homare, but it was rather NSFW. And if I find any high res versions of his art of course I'll share.

My bad, I totally read that as Super for some reason.  D'oh!

Yeah, I found a TON of naughty images, but didn't think it was worth mentioning unless you wanna figure out a way to clothe them  :D

You know, if you used Sakura for A2, you could eventually port the art from the set over to make a set of covers for say, Saturn or Playstation.

SF Collection = Cammy (since that set contains Super II and Super Turbo)
SF Collection 2 = Chun Li (since that one contains II, CE, and Turbo)
Alpha 1 = Rose
Alpha 2 = Sakura
Alpha 3 = R. Mika or Karin

I guess you get what I mean...

Maybe even use those female characters introduced in the EX games and do covers for those too? (but then again, who plays the EX games?)

If I could I would.

I rather prefer making covers for systems I'm more familiar with. But I might give it a shot in some (not too) distant future.

Got a few new covers I've uploaded over the past few weeks to the site.

I went ahead today and put them up on my Box.net account for anyone who'd like to download them now. Like I've said before, I generally like to stick to retail covers, but I'll be glad to put a vertical styled cover together if anyone of you guys need some of these.  ;)

Super Alfred Chicken

The Rocketeer

The Wizard of Oz

Warlock

And here's two covers on the site that were in long need of a complete overhaul:

Fatal Fury

Sim City

Good work on the SNES covers man! Just watch your output levels, that Fatal Fury cover is quite dark even on my LED monitor. Pretty sure you'll lose a lot of definition in the background when printed.

Aw dammit, Firepower 2000 is the only SNES game I have that doesn't have a cover and you go and make one for Silkworm IV.  :P

Swiw = Silk Worm IV?

Didn't know that.

Now I'll have to edit the cover to say Silk Worm IV instead of Swiv.
