I think it varied between regions. Not entirely sure though.
But, for example, with GB/GBC/GBA games, the Australian boxes have at least one spine which just has the name/logo of the game [and the Nintendo logo], much like NES, SNES, N64 etc boxes. But the UK/Euro boxes have all sorts of legal and ratings crap on all four spines. The 'cleanest' spine has a small version of the game logo, plus the 'imported into the E.E.A...' information.

I don't have any UK/Euro or US N64 boxes though, so I'm not sure about those, but the Australian ones are identical on each spine, just the game logo and Nintendo 64 logo, except one has a green background, the other purple.

I have a lot of boxed N64 carts in E.U/JP/U.S standards. If this debate is still going at the weekend,  i will take a look and report back.

for EU cases at least - the upper spine has the game name, lower spine nintendo/publisher info, the ends vary.

Well we know the spines of the Australian and EU boxes, then, just need to find out the US and JAP ones.
