There just aren't that many manuals. The N64 section has a few here and there but manuals are much harder to restore than covers. A cover is just one page and eventhe smallet manuals are 10 pages. See what i mean? Thats why there are so many covers and so little manuals  :)

I think I made approximately 90 N64 manuals available on this site. All these I scanned from my personal collection. But it isn't just the scanning and editing involved that is the issue. Snowcone is the only one able to upload manuals onto the site at the present time.

What we don't want to see here is a proliferation of substandard scans from places like http://www.replacementdocs.com turning up here. We have certain standards for covers and it shouldn't be any different for manuals.

We won't steal them don't worry. One we always want to give credit and Two if its under 300dpi it won't make the cut for the site. Nice find though  :)

Do I dare ask you to remove the staple and scan the manuals paper by paper, so one could print them, stack them and re-staple to produse replica pf the original manual? [Roger Rabbit sounding] PRRLEEEEASE.

As I said in another post previously, if someone makes something available it should be accepted no matter how it is done. If they want to run the risk of damaging the manual by removing staples etc that is fine but it is their decision and theirs alone. That's assuming it is indeed a stapled manual in the first place.

Given that they would then have to edit the pages manually to create a version readable as a electronic manual I cannot but wonder whether the work involved doing what you ask is worth it for one or two persons benefit at best?

Yeah, I remember that post.
I tried what you suggested, but using paint (the only graphics program I have) the quality was poor.
But since he is anyway scanning his manuals, it was worth the try get them scanned the way I need.

ouch lol I dont know if I can do that, all my manuals are in the Near Mint - Mint catagory, and since I collect carts and manuals since I found this awesome site, im not sure if I can bite that bullet.

If I can say though, most NES manuals you can find in the wild for .50 or a dollar. Even on ebay you can find a bunch of manuals in a "lot" or just find them cheap. Go to a flea market and ask if they have any NES manuals half the time they have like 50-100 and they only want 50 cents each for them... If I get my hands on a more rare manual like Gun-Nac or Flintstones S@DP etc.. I will def take the stable out and make them availible to anybody...

Also I am more than happy to return favors on here, If someone can make me say a box I need for the NES I would be happy to scan a box or maybe 3 NES manuals for it, staple out and all, didnt know if any of you guys do that?

If you take the staple out, you could manual restaple it by carefully putting the staple throw the two wholes and bending them inward couldn't ya?
