1. Which style do you prefer, Vertical or Horizontal?

2. When playing ps1 games, do you use an original PlayStation or use the ps2/3's backwards compatibility?

3. On your shelf, do you keep re-cased ps1 games separate from your ps2 games, or do you mix them?

1. Horizontal (I like the uniformity)
2. 60 GB PS3
3. Separate, unless they are part of a series, like Persona/Suikoden/Final Fantasy/etc.

We all know the endless vertical vs horizontal debate, which most of us know is simply a matter of taste, but I think I might have a correlation of sorts.

To those who re-case ps1 games, would you mind answering the following questions (please answer all of them)?

1. Which style do you prefer, Vertical or Horizontal?

2. When playing ps1 games, do you use an original PlayStation or use the ps2/3's backwards compatibility?

3. On your shelf, do you keep re-cased ps1 games separate from your ps2 games, or do you mix them?

I'm sure you can see the correlation I'm trying to make, but I'm just wanting to satisfy my curiosity.

My personal answers:

1. Horizontal style
2. Ps2's backwards compatibility
3. I mix the cases so I can keep cross platform game series's uniform.

1. Vertical Style
2. PS2 or PS3 backwards compatibility for PS1 games.
3.  I mix PS1 and PS2 games.

1. Vertical (I've always loved the longboxes - I have many PS1 games that, even though covers do exist for them, remain coverless because they ain't vertical)
2. PS3 Backwards-compatibility, although this is only because I have misplaced my PS1. Otherwise, I would be using my PS1.
3. Always keep them separate. I have my shelves arranged by generations, so my PS1 games are near my Saturn games, while my PS2 games are near my GameCube and Dreamcast games.

1. Vertical. I much prefer the look of it.
2. Still use my old Playstation to play the games.
3. Seperate. Im looking to replace all jewel cases with 9mm DVD ones for the sake of space saving. However, this mammoth task does'nt get any easier as i tend to buy more than i ever have time to re-case.  ;)

1. Horizontal - Blends seemlessly with my PS2 stuff
2. PS1 in the office, or PS3 in the lounge (or hacked PSP on the go)
3. Mixed/Undecided.  Same as Grum - i'm trying to recase everything to slim (7mm) cases.  But acquiring quicker than my printer ink can cope with.  Games i have done so far have been slipped in on the PS2 shelf - but i am not sure if i will keep it like this.............

1. Horizantal - the vertical still stikes me as a little odd looking. Plus the artwork i find tends to look better this way.
2. 60gb PS3 in the living room, PS2 in my bedroom and custom PSP for the road
(i have 3 PSones but its nice to play with the wireless controller on the PS3)
3. Seperate - i havent really printed off any PS1 covers in a few years but i think i would break this rule for games in a series.

1. Vertical like the original covers, but all in all I prefer to get CD cases and print the original format of it.

2. PS3 currently since my PS2 broke and I can't locate my PSX......

3. Separate, My PS games are actually next to my DC games on a different shelf

1.  i would probably go horizontal if i re-cased my ps games but they all have their original boxes so im reluctant to do so

2.  PS3  wireless rules

3.  Separate  just easier to keep all my stuff organized that way

1. Vertical - If not for the Metal Gear Solid Essentials, I'd be more prone to horizontal. I blame Konami.

2. I haven't played them in a long while, last time I did it it was on a PS1. I'd probably just use my PS3 from now on.

3. My PS1 games I haven't reskinned are still on the shelf, others have been taken down. The PS1 games I have skinned are in alphabetical order of my PS2 games. So it would go PS1 - PS2 - PS2 - PS1 - PS2 - PS1 - etc. instead of PS1 - PS1 - PS1 - PS2 - PS2 -PS2
