Just checked local European prices.

White Xbox One S with Forza Horizon 4 = 200 Euros.
Physical version of Minecraft = 17 Euros.
Physical version of Sea of Thieves = 30 Euros.
Physical Version of Forza Horizon 3 = 30 Euros.

White Xbox One S All Digital with digital copies of the 3 games = 230 Euros
Physical Version of Forza Horizon 4 = 40 Euros.

So I would lose 4K-bluray drive for saving of 7 Euros...

And these are current non-discount prices, I usually find these cheaper.

Current estimate for UK (I don't know what it's for my side, the EU) is £800 000 000 per week, so £1322.75 per second... of course you'd have to devide that per person but anyway.

I don't think anyone who is a member here would be interested in an all digital console anyway unless it's something they take with them from place to place, and even then, it would be iffy.

I can see a market for this, especially for a much younger crowd.  And regardless of how any of us feel about it here, it's certainly the direction the industry is headed.  I would say we will get one more generation of physical gaming before everything is either digital or streaming.
Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

You missed the point: Normal Xbox One S is same price (depending on price of the games can be even cheaper) than Xbox One S All Digital and you'll lose the ability to play 4K Bluray discs.

But the people the system is aimed for don't care about any of that.

Even though it's only a difference of about $8 US, it still seems lame that it wouldn't be priced better. I may not be the target audience here (I'm not much of a modern XBOX guy to start with) and I'm no business man, but it seems like they should have just made it 200 Euros like the standard S is. I mean, whats the extra 30 for? From what I understand, this is an S without the disc drive, set up for just downloading games. So, couldn't they offer the system with the games for the same price as the standard unit, but technically save money by not having to physically make the discs for the included games and not including the drive? Or am I missing some sort of hidden production cost for the unit.
To be this good it takes AGES!

That with drive is cheaper than without?

I'm not so sure it's a cultural thing nearly as much as it is a generational thing.  Digital sales are outpacing physical sales all over the world especially with younger kids.

I know.
It was just joke answer referring to stubborn people bying the more expensive driveless version over the cheaper one with the drive.
I just could not think anything more stuborn that so called "Amurican".
