So I've been putting this off for over a year now, and it strikes me that it's not going to change anytime soon. So, for the good of the site (and myself, but I'll pretend it's mostly for the site), I wish to communicate the following:

I am in possession of a mint-condition Super Robot Taisen: Original Generations 2 box. Several people on the site have mentioned that they have the game, but no box. The current box up on the site is a mock-up; the cover is accurate enough (albeit low-quality), but the back is completely someone else's work. I presume that most people are like me, and want to make their box look as official as possible. I have been meaning to buy a scanner for awhile and scan it myself, but I just haven't gotten around to it, and am somewhat short on cash.

This is where you come in: I need an avid box guru with a high-quality scanner to (kindly) provide me with their address, scan the box when I send it to them, and return it.

This is a rather important item to me, so I am somewhat hesitant about sending it out; but, for the sake of making sure the database has a correct back for SRT:OG2, I am willingly to temporarily part with it.

I've also got a box for Spiderman: Mysterio's Menace (also a GBA game) that I could send if someone wants to scan it. However, I might be the only person on Earth who actually owns the game, so it might be unnecessary.

I'm willing to do it if no one else wants to, but I'm sure one of the other more experienced guys would be better at, so lets think of me as a last resort eh? :P

Wouldn't it be easier to go to walmart - buy a scanner - scan the covers - and then return the scanner?
If you have nothing to do... Don't do it here!

I detest Walmart. It's the only reason I suggested it.

everyone can detest it all they want but unless Ames, *Zayre, or Bradlees comes back from the dead....you get
Wal-Mart (best prices plus a 10% discount for any larger items I purchase)
       or
Target (bit more expensive and everyone seems snobby)
       or
K-Mart (I cant understand their employees half the time, and their shelves are never stocked)

with that said...I miss Zayre...and Purity the grocery store

crap..... HEY!  I THINK HE STILL NEEDS SOMEONE TO SCAN HIS STUFF!

Any luck getting your hands on a scanner? I've been looking to pick up Mysterio's Menace, and it'd be much easier for me to get a cartridge only copy. I know I'm not a guru, but I do have a scanner, if it helps!

@Aganar:

PR Mega X is trustworthy and always provides really good scans. When I read this initially he is the first one I thought of but I didn't want to volunteer him without his permission. If you were to mail your box to be scanned I'd send it to him.

Sorry, been busy. Also been somewhat depressed, as I discovered recently that my copy of Tactics Ogre: Knights of Lodis was a bootleg.

Lordpenguin offered to scan, as well. Between him and Mega, which one of you guys has a better scanner?

I'm not sure what Lordpenguin's got for a scanner, so I can't say if mine is better or worse. I know mine works, and Shenske's kind words above make me think it works pretty well :) If you're interested, shoot me a PM -- I get 4 day weekends, so I have plenty of time on my hands for a quick turnaround ;D
