It will be interesting to see how well these sell at the price point they are throwing around. $5 per case is not cheap. I know many people have been requesting these for years (myself included). Hopefully, they are successful and sell well. I know they had some other ideas for future retro products if these sell.

Unfortunately, they are already getting some push back from collectors. Since they are exact replica cases. Some of the collectors want them to be visually distinct from the originals.

Pretty ridiculous in my opinion. No different from the replacement CD jewel cases you can buy for PS1 or Dreamcast.  No one complains about that.

Save for the size, which is massive.  Also, these are a niche product, so it's not like they're going to sell millions upon millions.

I've actually looked into this myself, and the price is what put me off.  At $5 a pop, they aren't making that much, trust me.

This is the dumbest complaint ever.

I welcome these with open arms and will be getting some when released to replace some of my broken cases.

Totally.  They're no different than CD jewel cases in this regard.  Nobody is complaining about swapping those (as far as I know...)

I was saying there is no difference in replacing long box jewel cases with new ones compared to replacing CD jewel cases with new ones.  No one should be complaining or worried about whether the game they buy has a reproduction jewel case.
Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

^^^. Exactly this

I would guarantee that most collectors who are bitching about this have already swapped cases with other games to keep their collection looking minty.

Or to put it another way, if the possibility of replacement jewel cases worries you, you should be buying sealed stuff anyway because there is no way to know if your jewel cases is original even before LRG releases these things.

Exactly.

I have never really considered the jewel cases for games to be part of what makes the game a CIB original. They are simply a storage medium and can be replaced as the user wants with no effect on the value.

This is just small minority of people getting worried that somehow the existence of these cases is going to effect the value of their collection. It won't.

People are complaining about this?  Really?  LOL.... "but I spent so much on better cases, good cases are like... 70% rare! this is going to lower game prices now!".   Bwahaha.  I've bought sooooo many $1 sports games just to swap out the cases, I would love to buy some brand new (non-foggy) cases for my epic Saturn games.

Sorry, that was the wrong quote.  Derp

Very cool but really also depends on pricing.
Being LRG it won’t be cheap - and postage to eu certainly won’t be friendly.
All there stuff is very fairly priced and not expensive.  Postage though is out of there hands.
