I think the cards are a great idea.  I'm missing out on functionality because I don't want loads of plastic figurines around the house. (Well, I would be if I actually ever used the wii-u)

Im still waiting on my Ike from Gamestop. Aside from that one I really only want the Zelda and RPG characters. I heard from my local GameStop person that they aren't even taking pre-orders on Amiibos anymore because of the $#!+ storm of problems that have happened.

 It shouldn't be this difficult to get a plastic figurine that has not even been released.

So I have seen a torrent of posts on craigslist lately...willing to trade sealed Gold Mario for either US Meta Knight (sealed) or Zelda OoT for 3ds (complete)...I have both, but I am not sure if Gold Mario is worth it or not.  Especially since I have heard rumors about Gold M being released by others besides Walmart.  I'm not really an Amiibo guy, but I am debating this idea.

That's the way most Target pre-orders are (or at least until they get closer to the release date).

Yeah, I feel a bit dumb lol I realized a bit after I posted that of course it wouldn't be in stores yet.  I'm hoping to get one but the way the craze is...I might be out of luck.  I don't know how these people have the time to stalk these things day and night

I've given up collecting all the amiibo. My list of must haves is pretty small, Ganondorf is at the top of the list though, since he's my main.

FYI: Gamestop's in store 'web' preorders are given priority here. If you can get to a store before 3PM EST, then I /highly/ suggest doing so.
