You supply the GBA, or do I have to source one?

edit: figured it was time to change the name of the thread. I think it's been well established that I'm a registered user at this point ;)

Replied!

Also, this.

I will have these for sale along with the GBA 101 kits and some mod services as soon as I can get a thread together.  Then I'll be working on getting those SNES shells up on Kickstarter.  Just needed to get a few things moving in order to try and launch my brand ;D

How much for each option if we provide the original GBA to be modded?

Aw, I'll kind of miss checking the "Holy Crap" thread.  :P

Those micro plates look great! You're building quite a game modding empire!

yea I can see that problem. I have been having problems just trying to get extra wiring in there. It really is a tight build. how different are the types of contacts between the sp 101 screens and the gbafat screens. I mean I've seen that there are 2 different board models, maybe more, for the fats which have 2 different screen setups for connections. What exactly are all the connections for and is it possible to solder the connections in any way?

just thought i put in a little feedback for wiggy here;

got some nes carts from wiggy today, they look really great, apart from one with a torn label, (which i suspect was from a stupidly placed price sticker?)
nicely cleaned up and well packed, he is a real pleasure to deal with, and i highly recommend you do so!
(10/10, +1, 5 stars, whatever)

Fixed the title for ya. Honestly, I missed it too ;)

I'm still waiting on a price quote for a larger quantity of the parts needed, so my pricing will partially depend on that price.  I'll let ya know as soon as I hear back from the guy.

Excellent!  Can't wait for my goodies to arrive ;D

That sticker was torn when I bought it unfortunately :( trust me, if I'm pulling a price sticker and it starts to tear the label, I will stop and rethink the process in order to salvage it.  I'm pretty sure it was torn from a previous price sticker though, and most likely a sticker from the chain that I purchased it from based on the position.

I wish they would stop putting the damned stickers on the labels. They obviously know about the retro market because many items are priced at appropriate market value, and those items get put into baggies with the sticker on the baggie. I just wish that they could give a similar level of care to the $10 games as well as the $100 games >:(

I can't give Agon a full rating yet, since my goodies haven't arrived. But based on just my interaction with him, I'd also give a big, fat, shiny gold 5 stars! :D

I'm SURE I'll be happy with the items once they hit my front steps.

I can't lie, I was totally inspired by Agon's Gameboy Phat SP, so when a couple of el bust-o systems showed up, I got to work...

(oh and I've been lurking around for a while, I'm still trying to get used to using forums though ><;)

I'm aiming for full compatibility. I had to stop last night. Got to a point where I needed to use the dremel, and I'm pretty sure waking my wife up at 3 am with a power tool would land me in hot water :P

edit: Decided that I need the brightness control, so I added it ;)

Getting close.   Just trying to resolve the cart port.  I think I'm gonna put it as high on the backside as possible so that I can play GBA games as well as the others.  Teh GB/GBC carts will stick out of the top, but I'm not too worried about it.  I RARELY play the older games.
