Out of curiosity Wiggy, do the model 1 Genesis systems you own say "High Definition Graphics" above the cartridge slot? Supposedly, model 1's that contain those words, have the best sound card inside the Genesis.

It's worth checking the ones that don't say it too - some of the earliest of the models 1's WITHOUT the "High Definition Graphics" ALSO have the awesome sound chip, AND they also have the best revision of the video chip out of all the Model 1's. No rainbow banding or artifacts.  ;) (revision 6 I believe...)

The way to tell is the check the back:

If it looks like this (the same as the earlier model 1's, except for the EXT port being covered, and everything is on the right side) then it is the GOOD ONE.

If it looks like this (everything moved to the left side of the back panel) then it's the really BAD ONE.

All of my info is from this article (it's really a fun read!):

I'm looking for vol. 2, 4, and 5 of the Orchestral Game Music Concert CDs. I'll pay well if it's authentic and doesn't skip. :)

Cool, apprently I have a "Good One". I actually modded mine with a region switch and that extra space on the back was the perfect place to mount the switch. The switch even works with Master System games using the Power Base Converter.

Effin' A!  Both my model one units are of the more desirable variety :D

Well, now that I'm buying Genesis/CD/32X games, I had to make some more room. I'm seriously getting low on space and I'm actually out of space on my SNES shelves. Oh well, I'm having too much fun making covers for a new system to slow down :D

There's actually 8 games on there now, including two 32X games.

Been really into collecting the portables lately.

Managed to squeeze the rest of my consoles on the bottom there.

Anyone have any cheap TG16 commons that they're looking to unload?  Preferably loose because I'm a cheapass and I'm just gonna make my own cases anyway :P

Woo-hoo! Sonic 3 :D

One is a Pocketstation and the other is a Japan-only rechargeable battery pack for the non-SP GBA. I tried squeezing it in with one of the GBAs, but it wouldn't quite fit, so it got its own box ;)

My covers ARE all up.

SNES and N64 games have their own threads in the UGC section, and I have all my portable covers in the DS case section. The Genesis games are all that I haven't upped yet, but I will soon :)

I got the copy of Sonic 3, I just PMed you about it.

As a heads up, Sonic 2 is curently on Amazon for a penny, with $6 shipping, and you can get the Sega 6-Pak for fairly cheep, It's a good compilation of games, it includes Sonic 1, Golden Axe, Streets of Rage, Revenge of Shinobi, Columns, and Super Hang-On. It was one of the first games I got.

Another heads up on buying Sonic 1, earlier copies have a spike bug, shown HERE
I think the Not for Resale Ver. has it, and the 6-Pak Ver does. not, I'll check later, I have both.

Hmm, I never knew that about Sonic 1, and I've owned MANY different copies of that game, including quite a few NFR copies.  I was REALLY close to buying the 6 Pack the other day at the shop where I bought that load of stuff that I grabbed the other day (on the page 23).  I was trying to not spend too much money that day.  I think it was like 6 or 7 bucks.  Maybe I should go back...

Yeah, sure!  I didn't know anyone cared.  Gimme a few days.  I'll have to convert them over to Photoshop files since I built them all in Illustrator.  It'll be a LOT easier to up PSDs over JPGs since there are so many color options for all the systems and I can just put them into layers in one PSD file instead of making a different JPG for each color.
