Title: REQ: High Resolution Game Logos
Post by: Moviefan2k4 on November 27, 2011, 01:57:31 AM
Hey, all. I'm looking for large, full color logos for the following games (preferably vector, if you have them). Thanks in advance, to anyone who helps! :)

The Legend of Zelda (NES)
Zelda II - The Adventure of Link (NES)
The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (N64)

Mega Man 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 (NES)

Super Street Fighter II (SNES)

Super Metroid (SNES)

Super Mario World (SNES)
Super Mario All-Stars (SNES)
Super Mario 64 (N64)

Tetris (NES)

Star Fox 64 (N64)

The Legend of Zelda (NES)

Super Street Fighter II (SNES)

That one I would be very gladly to get myself. Or at least if someone could identify what font is used for the "SUPER" part of the logo, then I could create it myself ("What The Font" is out, since "SUPER" is obscured by "Street Fighter II").

Super Metroid (SNES)

Super Mario 64 (N64)

Star Fox 64 (N64)

And all it took was a quick Google Images search.

I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to simply vector trace a screencap of the part of the game intro that shows the SUPER text by itself.

The ones for Star Fox 64, Super Mario 64, and Zelda 1 look like fan creations, not the official logos. Super Metroid is very impressive; thanks.

Tried that, and the conclusion is...

I suck at tracing...

Well, I found 2 different vector logos for "Street Fighter II", but neither matched the version seen for the cover of "Super". So, I finally used the Pen tool in Photoshop, to trace it from a retail scan I downloaded from this site. Its not perfect, but I think its pretty close. You can get it by clicking the thumbnail below...oh, and if anyone wants to try and vectorize it, I wouldn't mind at all. =)

In Photoshop you could just go to File->Export->Paths to Illustrator, and it'll give you a vectorized output. Or you can try Vector Magic.
Besides, that part isn't the issue here. I was talking about the "SUPER" thing that is behind the "Street Fighter II" text. the SFII logo can be found pretty much everywhere.

Zelda 1 looks official to me. The fact that it's slightly tilted just screams that it was sourced from a scan.
