Hi. I'm new to the forums, but ever since I saw the custom covers for the UGCs I knew I wanted them! :)
I noticed that there is a large number of missing covers for popular games no one seems to care about (sports games). Since I have a large number of these I wanted to get covers.
I can provide these (for most games)

You can find written back texts from here for some of the games (on the home tab of each game) as well as box back scans ( on the images tab of each game) so you can type the back text.
those are not avaible for each game, for few are.

Yes! I have 3 or 4 NHL games. I would be willing to help by uploading more emulator shots if it's needed.
It's weird that these are some of the cheapest, most common games and yet no one wants the covers? Elitists... ::)
Probably because American Football is not so popular in some countries and Ice Hockey not so hot in others, where as Mario is universal.

I made Madden 94 and 95 a few weeks ago but I was going to wait until I was able to finish the whole set before uploading them here.
Only thing is, they're the original retail boxes, not the vertical styled ones. :-\

I've got a ridiculously huge backlog of Super NES sports game box scans I downloaded a long time ago from someone here on the forums, and every time I start to work on a new cover I tell myself I'm going to knock a few of them out next, and yeah...heh, I always end up going to something else first. :P
Maybe it's just me, but I just don't find the same level of excitement in casing one of my sports games as I would, I don't know...Pocky and Rocky or something, lol. I do want to get them finished though, since I have quite a few myself.
I was looking through the scans and I do have NHL 95, and 96, so I'll add them to the list too. Unfortunately, the only other Madden box I can throw together is the original "John Madden Football". I do have scans of the other games, but they're nowhere near the site's standards in quality, so I'm hoping some better ones will come along in the near future.
Here's the other sports games I'm able to do at the moment. I need quite a few of these myself, so if anyone happens to want one of these, let me know and I'll bump it up to the top of my sports game que:

Not sure how to upload a file, but if someone will explain I'll post up the .psd and .png for other people to help edit. Ultimately I would want someone more savvy with covers to change mine to match the quality of the covers here.
Now to work on the others :)
Create Mediafire or Box.net account, both free. Upload there and give us link.
Do not upload to Photobucket or Imageshack, as at least they screws your creation.

Create covers using atleast 300 DPI images, I'd suggest using 600 DPI ones so you have room to edit.
Save the covers in 300 DPI (this one is 96DPI, but that might be because of Imageshack).
Will comment more when the cover is uploaded Mediafire or Box.net.
But not too bad start ;D
And would you lighten the Madden potrait (only the potrait) on the front it's just bit too dark.

Yes the front image is much better. :D
It's nice cover (I'll probably print and use it for the time being).
But if you want it to be posred to the site, the cover still needs tweaks like:
- 360 needs the o on the back.
- The cover is still 96 DPI (which in this case might be fixaple as the cover is towel sized @ 89 by 55.5 cm)
- The gray bars in background are blurry.
- The screenshots probably need replacing with sharper ones
- Maybe more text to the back.

on my side the psd is 11 x 7 at 300 dpi
where is the mistake happening?
OK it's seems again MS Paint just acting up. ;D
It happens with some covers.
Just have to remeber to print at 32% and all is fine).
I made them slightly opaque because its was hard to read the text even with the shadow
After comparing the background with few other covers, it seems the what I thougt was blurriness was the darkness with opaqueness.
Try to keep the original back bars for consistency.
Try different fonts with shadowing untill the texts is readable.
