Title: N64 MemCard 65% done
Post by: ShoothimNow on April 04, 2010, 01:03:14 AM
this is the extent of my photoshop skills.  I am in need of some assistance to finish this (would like to finish soon).  Included are both psd and jpg files.  Thank you for your time.

(I started converting the horizontal case to vertical.  Link below)
The Cover Project's N64 Controller Pak (http://www.thecoverproject.net/view.php?game_id=845)

I wanted to keep the picture section's because of someone's creativity on filling the spots

Oh I'm sure that I can help you out with it. Problem is schoolwork and other things are going to keep me pretty busy for a while. I'll see what I can do over the next few weeks :)

take your time, I know I have been somewhat of a pain with requests lately  ::)  Have been finding tons of random things stored in boxes that I can now store in UGC's.  Took some Styrofoam and cut out 6 little compartments, now the N64 Memory card UGC holds 6 'controller pak's' perfectly.  Take your time =D and thanks for the quick response!  Can't wait!

Sorry if I seem like a jackass for asking, but why would one dedicate an entire UMC to an N64 memory pak? Those things are awfully small. Wouldn't a DS case work better?

I actually used to own an N64 way back when, and I can tell you right now that that an N64 Memory Pak will NOT fit in a DS case. They're bigger than you think.

They don't fit in DS cases. Plus, as he said, he's put 6 controller paks in one UGC.

Satoshi_Matrix:  I'm not the only one that wanted a N64 Controller Pak inside a UGC, as TheValeman already created one and placed it on this site.

Regarding why I would like this:

Now there is no doubt that a controller pak will fit inside a DS case, but if you want to have a nice flush shelf of games and accessories, a DS case is not the way to go due to a massive amount of bulging.  I didnt take a picture of the Memory card inside, but the case won't stay shut

Oh well if since you have six N64 memory paks (why?) I suppose I can see the need for this. I had a feeling about the bulk of the exterior plastic being too big for DS cases, sorry about that. I was thinking of the actual PCBs since I had mine apart recently to replace the battery (yeah thats right, the N64 memory paks contain the same battery found on N64 games that have battery-back up)

I suppose if he had 6 memory paks he could probably save with every n64 game that needed one.

I only know of a handful that ever did though...

True. and more to the point, the games that used the N64 memory pak were all fairly bad, with the possible exception of the first Goemon game that did Zelda 64 before there was a Zelda 64.

Flying Dragon was a pretty solid game and it used it too. I think a couple of decent racing games as well (like Rush 2, I loved that game.)
