I was just curious as to what the average Cover Project members average age is.
If you don't want to give your actual age for some reason give a range, like 20 - 25, 25 - 30, Etc.
I just turned 25 last December
-
I'm 23. I'll be 24 in August.
-
*sigh* I remember my twenties. That was nearly three decades ago...
-
i suspect that i'm one of the old men of the site at 35.
-
23... I think? I don't keep track; anytime someone asks me how old I am, it always throws me off and I have to start counting the years in my head.
Usually they laugh at me for not knowing my age, but I never really had reason to worry about such things anyway. Just a number. I know I feel much older than that; not maturity-wise, but the 'needs exercise' sorta way.

I can actually relate to that, My mother insisted on trying to raise my siblings and I as "Jehovah's Witnesses". It killed my social life and since they don't celebrate holidays of any sort (B-Days included) there was no reason to keep track of my own age....and the needs exercise...its slightly embarrassing but I'm a festively plump 250lbs at a whopping 5' 10"

That's a cool thing Chewie, You know what the older games were like first hand, not through a compilation disc. I hope I'm still collecting/playing games till I'm even older than that
So far the "Average" age is about 30...ish

I'm 27

That sucks. My crazy-ass aunt is in the cult that South Park criticizes, and she's actually making lots of money from it. I feel so dirty whenever I get her fucking blood money. I think that some poor sap somewhere really believes this stuff and she's extorting it from them just to line her deep pockets. I can't tell if she seriously believes it or if she just believes in making money illegitimately.
The reason I didn't mention it by name is that I wouldn't put it past them to constantly have Google alerts for the name of their cult and try to send takedown notices to sites critical of them.
I'm 13. Take that, average! I wonder if this will change anyone's opinions of me...
Mean average of all ages posted here, including mine, excluding chewie:
27.4545...
Mean average of all ages posted here, excluding me and chewie:

Nobody should feel bummed about being older (or younger) than the majority.
My dad still plays games, he can't collect them because hes broke as all her from child support.
My father is in his mid 40s
My father-In law got to play Rock Band at my apartment and enjoyed it quite a bit...hes in his 50s
Everyone loves games :)

Yeah, I remember the very first video game. It was $25 for the unit (that's like $100 now) and it had 4 games which were Pong and 3 other games which were also really pong too. My cousin got one and everyone was so impressed. Then Atari came out and had the very first ever quest game: Raiders of the Lost Ark. That was about 8 years before Nintendo and Zelda!

Doom you're such a liar!
I'm 18. Therefore, I'm the youngest so far!
(excluding Doom if he is actually 13 which I doubt!)
-
I was old when the Pharoah's were ruling Egypt with an iron fist & Aztec's were at the high of their power :)

But according to your profile, it says you're 46. That's pretty old.

Silly Valeman, math went out of style with the Aztecs

No. I am 13. What, do you want a "hello my future girlfriend. This is what I sound like."?
-

LOL, no!
I must say, as zombiewolf said, you're pretty damn mature for your age.
Funny thing is, back when I played Diablo 2, I was a mod on a D2 forum just like you... and I was about 13. :P
BUT ANYWAY...
zombiewolf you're third now!
Coverproject's YOUNGEST:
1. Doom
2. z0mbiew0lf
3. ME!
someone else can do the oldest list :P

Okay, smart-ass. Now I know you just made that number 792 up.
-
No he didn't. 792 is a true and valid number. Without it, the numerical system would sort of drop off after 791
-
I turned 19 almost 3 weeks ago

You don't get it. What I meant was that 792 is not a real age.
-
Thanks for pointing that out mate! :o

Tell that to the Redwoods in California......you may not get a response though

Well ... the 19 year old daughter runs me so ragged at times I sure feel like I'm 700+ in my bones now and again.
Then I look at the in-laws next door [don't go there] and realise things could definitely be worse ::)
-
Why does everyone hate their In-Laws.... I love mine! and they treat me like one of their own kids!
I get a lot of my older games from my Father In-Law...he yard sales every year in the decent seasons. (he gave me my mint copy of Chrono Trigger, he got from a big box o games he paid 30 bucks for!)
-
Hahaha ..... I like mine actually .... what did I say that brought that on?
I just said essentially that they're old ... and slightly more decrepit than me ... which shows I aint as bad as all that after all. The [dont go there] comment was merely a "dont ask how they ended up next door" kind of thing.
Hey .... he gave me his Atari 800XL & 520ST when he shifted to the IBM PC. For that I am eternally grateful ;D
