Saw this on Digg today and thought it was pretty interesting. It definitely has that 60's nostalgia feel to it.

Something Awful took the idea one step further. They have over 35 pages of submissions. Some are amazing and beautiful, some are bad, but it is something to definitely read through!

That is just a plain awful set of game covers. Certainly fits with the site name I guess .....

I personally think some of them look GREAT! (SOME!!)

 The initial few that started these people going on making them... and ones from:

 Digital War
 Recycle Bin
 Houdini
 Hypnotoad
 and Zombie Killer 5000 made a SWEET Halo retro cover..(I don't even LIKE HALO!)
