Title: SNES emulation on PS2
Post by: JakeHC on November 14, 2013, 01:11:11 AM
Hi everyone,

This afternoon I bought a chipped ps2 as my old unit conked out, and along with it came a SNES disc containing 800 games. It looks like a balinese burnt game. Sure enough, it loaded up and has roms for every game imaginable. I never knew such a thing existed. Did anyone else? It blew my mind.

Numerous emulators and compilations were made for Ps2, Xbox, and Dreamcast. They are fantastic ways to play games you own without adding any wear to the carts/system. If you want to find more discs like this they are abundant on the interwebs and can be found though google search.

I had absolutely no idea, I'll have to check them out. Just the idea is really cool. I'm probably going to make cases for all of them, or at least the cool games I suppose in DVD format.

i played Chrono Trigger emulated on PS2, wasn't very optimal. looks decent enough but the music never played right. it's alright i guess but if i'm gonna emulate anyway i'd rather just play with a gamepad on PC.

I've actually just been playing Chrono Trigger for the DS. That game is pretty damn amazing. I might get earthbound on my DS, or just play the GBA remake of Mother 1 and 2. Definitely gotta get back into my gaming.

IMO, the old Xbox is the best emu machine. Powerful enough to run most any emu, decent controller that works well with a lot if older games, and a hard drive do you don't need to fumble with discs and memory cards.
