There's also the SEGA Classics Arcade Collection 4-in-1. Might as well do that one if you want them all (tsolfan has it).

BAM! IT EXISTS!

http://www.mobygames.com/game/sega-cd/espn-nba-hangtime-95/mobyrank

"The ESPN2 mode is they way to go, with it's creative characters and backgrounds as well as a variety of playing styles unique to each team. Worth checking out; hey, how many other Sega CD B-Ball games are there?"
That still isn't proof that it was actually released. There's plenty of games that get reviewed but never get released.

Yeah, some games get pretty insanely close to release before getting cancelled last minute. Hell I remember looking for the n64 version of 40 Winks after Nintendo Power published a friggin' strategy guide for it in one of their magazines. It never actually came out.

HOWEVER, This site says it was released. It's listed in the big list of known releases and not in the big list of unreleased games.

and here is a very large disc scan

and here's what's definitely a scan of the case and not stock art:

why is it not stock art? because why would stock art have a crack in the case?

Need any more proof X68000?

I think that takes the cake as being one of the rarest Sega CD games ever in that case! It just boggles my mind that there is so little information about this game despite it being released. I swore it was unreleased until you found that scan.

Need any more proof X68000?
No need to get confrontational, I was just being skeptical, that's all. :P

ESPN NBA HangTime '95 is actually the last Sega CD title I need to pick up to finish off my Sega CD collection.

In the past year, I've lost 2 eBay auctions for the title (and 2 because it only showed up twice in the past year).

Though, once I eventually pick this up (just a matter of time, in my opinion), I'll be more than happy to scan it, assuming someone else doesn't get to it first.

the comment wasn't supposed to sound confrontational (well maybe it was, just a teeny bit) but I can see why it'd come across that way..

Maybe, though I doubt it, you could get scans from the crazy collectors forums from the people who have this stuff. Or maybe email the AVGN - he has a pretty nice collection.

I usually find it really hard to get scans from outside sources. Ive asked for scans from a couple forums I stumbled across looking for good famicom scans for a couple games I need. No one ever seems to be willing to help a brotha out!

most of them spend all their money on games so they can't afford a scanner

The issue is more likely a disdain for both touching any collector's item and The Cover Project in general. Collectors like original cases.

Apparently, in the lands of PAL, the Sasquatch of the Mega CD world is Cannon Fodder. Many claim to have seen it but so far, no real proof. I can picture it being very similar to the 3DO version,if indeed it ever existed... ;)

I doubt there's much, if any disdain for what we do... the collector types aren't THAT unreasonable really. The idea of not scanning boxes and whatnot might have more to do with lack of time or incentive.

Well I thought I was going to be able to help you guys out and pick up a copy of NBA Hangtime 95, but someone beat me to the Buy It Now on an auction (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250766651061&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT).

I even thought about going for it last night but decided to sleep on it; that'll teach me to be wishy-washy about an auction!  >:(

It's a shame too, there were a lot of other items in that lot I wanted as well.  Oh well, maybe someone else will have better luck.

I wanted to give a quick update on something I've been working on.

I've remastered bunch of my SCD US covers. Most of the covers up to the letter R have been replaced with a cleaner version than before. It's easy to tell which are the newer version as they how have a better looking "Sega Seal of Quality" instead of that ugly, improvised one I originally used.

I hope to be done with the rest by the end of March.
If you have nothing to do... Don't do it here!
