Sega CD Covers for all DVD case sizes
Zelimpdna:
I like it. Very close to the original cases. I prefer the one without the red on the spine. I like the plain text spine, but that could be because all but two of my games are like that. The one very slight criticism, if you could call it that, is that the font is different. But I don't imagine it's easy to find out what font they used.
Would it be possible to add a second type to the template modelled after the other style of case? I mean the one with the black spine which has a red stripe through it, and a yellow 'Mega-CD' in a different font to the one you've done. The game title is also in a different font and colour. They also have a very different front, without the side and bottom borders. Or is this what you meant by the 'both types of Mega CD logos'? If so, never mind. :)
It's not a big deal if you don't add it, and I'm not really sure if I'd prefer to have those ones be as close to the originals, or just keep them all in a uniform style.
And could you add Mega-CD 32X as well? It'd be a bit more effort with the stylised spine and border though.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to this template getting completed. Thanks for working on it.

Looks like your the Guinea Pig for this one then mate. ;) So did you get the E.U releases for Mega CD or was there a specific Australian version? Oh and yes, by the 'other type' of Mega CD logo, i meant the one with the red stripe along the spine.
Zelimpdna:
I'm not too sure about our releases. I don't have any images of EU games, but the Australian ones have the multi-language back so I assume we just got the EU releases. The only difference is that on a couple of them, it says "Printed in Australia" after the '© Sega' bit. But that's not on all of them. Not sure if the EU versions had a rating on them or not, the Australian ones don't. They just had a sticker on the front of the case.
Grumbleduke:
I think some of the longboxes we got when tthe system first arrived here had ratings, i seem to recall that Ground Zero Texas had one but cant remember. For the most part though, there are no ratings on the box. I will work on the 32X bit when i get time. In the meantime, heres a possible older type case:
bit of a custom, sizing the art for the front can be a challenge but it always is anyway. With the original cover...
I put in a rear picture and Mega CD 'watermark' tester to try and break up the all black colouring a bit but im not sure on it.. They seemed to stick with black, red and yellow during this phase so thats what i tried. Also made it a UK version so i did'nt have to type in all the languages, though there never was a UK only of this.
And the two types of spine together. Left in the red stripe so as to stay similar to the original cases. I noticed the SEGA logo needs to be smaller on the old style one.
Zelimpdna:
Did all games come in boxes or just some? Most of my games I bought second-hand, and are just in double-jewel-cases. The ones I got at the time were christmas and birthday presents and were also just double-jewel-cases, but since I never really paid attention to the Sega aisles at the stores [all my money went on Super Nintendo and Gameboy games], I don't know if all were like that or if some had boxes.
Thanks for the older-style case preview. Could you post a preview without the watermark and rear image for a comparison?
