UPDATE: I have a pending refund from the seller sitting with PAYPAL at present so it looks like he isn't totally a fraud after all .... assuming the payment clears okay. As a result I have removed his name from this post as although he stuffed me around something chronic another person might have a better time of it.

-------------------- Old post ---------------------
It appears that I stumbled upon a new fraudster on EBAY .... one that is quick to contact re the sale but once paid has every excuse under the sun and never ships the goods. Subsequent contact only happens when you threaten the guy and even then it's intermittent. Admittedly I should take some of the blame for bidding on a seller with 0 feedback but hey, we all start somewhere right? And most fraudsters are doing the iPod, Xbox 360 thing so I didn't think I'd find one re ancient Dreamcast goods.

So I won't be able to provide scans of the 3 or 4 games that were meant to come with the console unfortunately. Still ... you guy's have only lost a few covers ... I've lost $86US to the bastard. Even if PAYPAL eventually get the money off the guy it'll cost me $25US in fee's so I'm a poorer person for the experience. Unfortunately I had banked on getting it as I had a buyer for the console. The money received would've gone into buying more N64 or Dreamcast games for the boxes etc to add to our collection.

So don't expect too much from me for a while as I need to recoup. I am still working thru a heap of N64 manuals for the cause and scanning the labels on my US carts but that's it for me at present.

Talk about lame. eBay and Pay Pal really don't do enough to protect the buyer or the seller in most cases.

Yeah ... you live and learn the hard way sometimes eh.

The Dreamcast was going to be a birthday present for my son originally but as the person never shipped it and time ran out I had to get another one so I had arranged to sell it to a mate when it finally arrived. 6 weeks later ....... no money and no console.

Oh well ..... I got depressed enough to get the scanner back into operation .... the US cart scans are a result of that ..... so the scanning and creating labels got me out of my funk for a while which is a good thing.

Hey Guys,

I ended up getting sick of waiting and ordered another unit from a guy with 6000 feedback. MUCH easier transaction and he actually provided me with a unit to my specs ... eg...one that plays backups ... not that I'm necessarily into that but nice to have the option  :)

Unit came in original packaging with manuals etc and the GD-R unit plays everything flawlessly. So I'm really happy with it..... just didn't come with any boxed games unlike the other unit. But hey it actually arrived so ......

Once I get my refund for the other unit I'll probably grab a couple of N64 games .... I'm thinking NFL Quarterback Club 2001 to finish off all the QB Club games and something else. I've provided every other one of these games to date. Only issue is I'll never play these as I hate sports games so it's a dead end buy for me ... but the things we do for the cause eh!!!!!

Well, glad you are getting something back.....

I am planning on making a few purchases myself, I would like to see the N64 part complete.
It looks as if the list 4tygames is no longer current, have we moved it someplace else?

I see Road Rash 64 is still pending, anyone know who has that one? I hate to buy it if someone already has it.
