isn't there a risk with doing current games, that they will become out of date very soon?
Yes... but it's a risk some want to take.

LOL.  That's worth quoting!!

Can someone help me with scanning in my Squeak Squad cover?  There isn't a cover available on the site so I need to scan my own.

Pm me if anyone can help.

Thanks!

EDIT:

Never mind!  Found Doom's guide of Doom (lol)

I hope you don't mind I used your idea. People have wanted spines for the SMA games right? Very pixelated, took the logos from actual in game images and the image from Super Mario All Stars + World. I believe it can be considered to have images from all 4 games, as it has birdo for SMA, Yoshi for SMA 2 and 3, and the regular enemies for SMA4.

Hope you like it its my first work.

Good Job on the custom spines, it looks really good.  :)

i do have a few suggestion though:

1.   if i were you i'd have the gradient fade from orange to light orange stetch out, so its not all at the bottom.
2.   Have you tried a blue to light blue gradient?
3.   we should have all the covers for each game on the site at high resolution for you to take the logos out of.
4.   To make the logos stand out i recoment putting a drop shadow behind them.

like i said before though, great job!

I should be able to use your design and make it higher resolution, fit for hosting on the cover project. There are standards for resolution here at TCP and MS paint can't meet those.

Im still getting used to PhotoShop. Having used Fireworks for 5 years now, it's a very big change.
If you have nothing to do... Don't do it here!

Hey Doom could you take a stab at the Mario Advance 1-4 spines?  I'd probably buy the games or at least display the spines if you made them!

thanks :P

Yeah. That Super Mario All-Stars mockup looks great (except the spine logos, but that's easy), but I don't think it will meet site standards. I'll still upload on box.net though.

Bleh, keep forgetting about this. Anybody have recommendations where to find the Super Mario All-Stars sprites?

So, is it worth the switch? I use Fireworks, and I've kinda debated switching, just wasn't sure if it'd be worth it.
