*I imagine this can be ripped off of the spines of the cover on this site, but I'm no good with stuff like that. Can anybody help?

you have photoshop i'm presuming right?

use the magic wand if the background behind the logo it a solid color.
highlight it, then delete it.

that or there is always the magnetic lasso

My old post:
Upon inspection of the spines, they are pretty solid color. I wonder why I thought they weren't.

New post:
How's this for the Zelda fans? (Although if you really are a Zelda fan, you'd have the classic NES series as well...)
I also found out while working on this I finished a DKC GBA one as well. Here is a preview...

If no changes are requested, I shall upload them sometime. I just added a yellow-white gradient to the DKC one... would that be better, or do people like the plain white?

Never thought it would look that nice. I could have stretched it horizontally a little to account for the spacing between cases. Still haven't printed some for myself. :-[
Man, if only there was some cool official hires art for Super Mario Advance.

The three GBA Castlevanias?
Let's see... Circle of Moon, Aria of Sorrow, and Harmony of Dissonance? I'd be glad to if I could find official, hires art pertaining to them.

the spacing between is different depending on the angle of view.

I couldn't manage to take a picture of when there was no space due to the small area that I was taking pictures in.

and how about some more DS spines and less GBA spines? :)

I'll try to think of some good ones.

EDIT:

How about Kirby: Canvas Curse and Kirby: Squeak Squad for DS?

Thanks again Doom!

Looks very doable. I think I found some hires art and I'm working on it now.
FFS, I tried to edit this post 2 times and both times I pressed "cancel" instead of "save" because I'm used to there being a "preview" button there.  >:( >:( >:(

Since I already wrote this edit twice before, I'm giving it to you in compact form.
Done w/ Kirby (if you approve of it). LMK if you want something changed. Wanted to put this in, but no space. Can rework it if you want it in there. Should I stretch Kirby horizontally to account for space in-between cases?
GBA castlevania hires art search fruitless. LMK if you find anything.

Doom, you are amazing!  I love those spines and I'll print them out tonight!

And Aganar, I don't have either one and I figured that we'd keep GBA and DS seperate :P

EDIT:

I forgot!  They look great Doom, could you zip them up and all like you did for the phoenix spines please?

also, there's no need to stretch the picture... I think the Phoenix ones turned out just fine :)

Yes. Here you go:
http://www.box.net/shared/jh8uouy8sk

once again, thank you.

now, do you think we could do other platforms?  Wii came to mind since the spines are pure white to begin with...

And you could do stuff like:

Raving Rabbids 1+2
RE: Umbrella Chronicles and RE 4
Trauma Center Second Opinion + New Blood

Let me know!!! Thanks!!

I only want to do things there is demand for. The PW spines were something I wanted for myself. If you own any games you want custom spines for, just ask. And the spines don't have to be white. IIRC I did that on the PW covers because the art had a white background that was difficult to remove.

isn't there a risk with doing current games, that they will become out of date very soon?

Yes... but it's a risk some want to take.
