and here is another one for the shelf
King of Fighters 97
(i'm not quite happy with this one yet so i still need to make a couple revisions to it, but here it is anyway)
once again, tell me what you think :)

I do like the 95 one. The 96, not so much. For a couple reasons
1. That Leona is distinctly Falcoon, an artist of the more recent games. His style really clashes with the old art styles. Doesn't fit.
2. Leona isn't really the "star" of '96. She was an important part, but not enough to get a solo cover. You had a whole lot of stuff also going on. The boss team, Irori with Mature/Vice, Chizuru, and I think Kyo/Iori teamed up against Geonitz. Here's a scan for '96 that was used a lot at the time.

I also scanned this that you should definitely use for '97. There isn't a picture anywhere that sums it up better than this.

edit: oh for the love of god don't use Shingo for '97. That'd be like putting Dan from Street Fighter on the cover. The main focus should be Kyo (he's always the main focus up until 99), Riot of the blood Iori/Leona, the New Faces Team, and Orochi. They're all in the pic I gave you, as well as Shingo, so usssse it.

i'll go ahead and make some alt covers with the older artwork.
... and about the whole shingo thing, i've stated this before i don't know much about the kof series. I've just been taking the new characters from each game and putting them on the front cover. I've just been using the very detailed list that KaiserWAVE wrote.
P.S. Dan from street fighter does suck! a lot! So i understand why you don't want shingo on the cover.
