As much as I hate to double post, I'd like to see this project going again and help in any way possible. (Over a year and a half should excuse the double post, right? >_>)

It would definitely be cool to see this project finished. The only e-Reader stuff I have is Mario Party e and a few assorted pokemon cards. As with most all other scans I've promised, Mario Party E will come eventually. Senior year happens to be kicking me in the ass right now.

I have all the NES games, most of the SMA4:SMB3-e cards except the Walmart ones, all the Pokemon Battle-e except a couple promo, quite a few of the one-off cards, and several Pokemon-e cards. Animal Crossing-e I only have a dozen of. Unfortunately, my scanner tends to moire my scans and I can't figure out how to make it knock it off. Example Eon Ticket.

What do we want cases for? NES Series which is done. One case for each Pokemon Battle-e set? One case for all the SMA4:SMB3-e cards? One for each of the Manhole-e, Air Hockey-e, Kirby Slide, etc? Or do we want to group anything?

I would keep the different types of cards seperated from other.  So make one case with "Air Hockey-E" and another with "Mario Party-e".  Don't group together, as some / most people dont have all of the differnt types to fill out the cases

Fair enough. I just thought it would be a bit odd for a case for a single card. Do you guys actually want to store the cards in the cases? Have you found a nice way to make them fit?

I found a Nintendo press kit from 2002 that has some of high resolution images. Included:

You can easily find it on the Internet.

Only vaguely related, here's a series of scans that I collected from advertisements when the e-Reader was out... all related to the un-released Game and Watch-e series...

http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/forums/index.php?topic=32861.msg645191

Basically, it's a collection of scans related to the unreleased Game and Watch-e series.  Hope you like it!

Link. Included:
Animal Crossing
e-Reader
Kirby GBA
Mario Party 4
Metroid Fusion
Metroid Prime
Star Fox Adventures
Super Mario Sunshine
Wario World
Yoshi's Island- SMA3

You need a disc mounting software to make a virtual disc drive. I use Magicdisc. The files inside are .bin/.cue - a common CD clone format.

Are you aware of the homebrew E-cards that were made? You need a high resolution (300-600dpi) printer, but apparently some consumer-level printers work. Tons of E-Reader info.

It also is theoretically possible to remake those Game & Watch cards with the Game & Watch Gallery 4 cartridge that was released. Its release date in late 2002 perfectly lines it up with including the planned GBA remade G&W from the E-cards. Fairly beyond my expertise, but something to think about.

I love press kits. I've thought about playing around with the printing of SMA4:SMB3-e Japanese cards in order to unlock all the levels in the game, but I decided against it due to the fact that the game can't save them all. If I remember right, it can save all but 2 or 3 levels.

That Game and Watch-e info is interesting. There's always a part of me that hopes companies give out cancelled things such as those cards that were probably printed and the Game Boy Advance Video Sonic X Vol 2 which had artwork and release dates everywhere but was never released.

I am familiar with the printable e-Reader cards - I was never able to actually get them to work though. :(

As for the Japanese SMA4 levels, the easiest way to play them is to download a save (from GameFAQs, for instance) that has the levels already loaded.  There's a couple of save files (that load via Action Replay/Game Shark) that only include the Japanese exclusive levels (and usually, Airship's Revenge) so you can play them through, then scan in your own cards to finish it out.

Were there any other uncompleted series? I'd consider the NES games, Animal Crossing Cards, Pokemon Battle-e, etc completed enough.

Many games were made with E-support in Japan and no support in US/EUR. F-Zero GP Legend and Pikmin 2 (GCN) are two examples. IIRC Pokemon Emerald (definitely FireRed) had e-support as well in Japan. Animal Crossing-E never produced cards to distribute Legend of Zelda or Super Mario Bros in Animal Crossing. I'm desperately trying to contact one of the two people on the Internet who have extensive knowledge of E-cards. I want to make custom cards that give out the games. It's even more possible than the distantly possible Game & Watch Gallery 4 -> e-card idea -- the only thing holding me up is that both people are ignoring me. :'(

What's wrong, guys? You don't want to talk to me about some hacking you did in 2005? :|
