And the last demo released before the Dreamcast was dumped like the tubby girlfriend...

Official Sega Dreamcast Magazine February 2001, Vol. 11

A group shot of the finished (for now) set.

I was thinking of using this template for the Generator Demos, even though I know that they came with systems, not the magazine. What do you guys think?

Yay! Only 100 more DC Covers to go!

This one courtesy of jonsered.

Toy Commander

This one had been sitting for a while until I found the rear pics I was looking for. The explosion is from scratch (which is probably why I'm not that pleased with it.)

I've notice that a lot of the DVD cover templates put the system logo in a white square and is positioned vertically.  Why is that?

Every "official" DVD case insert I've seen has the logo rotated to match the spine text, so if you lay the DVD down where the text reads "normally", the logo matches it.

In addition to that, the logo background color always matches the background of the text, so there is no white square behind the logo.

I noticed this even on my PS1 games, but the covers I've seen have the logo on a white background, with the "Playstation" text in white, on a black background.

And in these, the text background color is orange, but the logo uses white.  Isn't it the Europe/PAL Dreamcast cases that use the orange background, and don't they use orange as the bg color of the logo as well, with the actual logo in white?

Just wondered, thanks! :)

The ps2's spine logo is positioned vertically, NOT horizontally. I'm fairly sure the ps2's spine was a pretty big influence in the design of this one.

Thanks, glad you you like them.

Ah, Mr. Driller, you stole almost as much of my youth as Tetris did.

Yes, the PS2 design did influence the spine on this template, mainly as an aesthetic choice but also as a way to differentiate between my DC collection and my budding Wii collection.

I'm sorry that that choice disappoints you, but you wouldn't be the first nor will you be the last to disagree with that choice.

The way I see it, if you don't like the spine formatting, etc on a template, then simply well, create your own! It's not very hard.

and Lumberjack, I actually quite like the PS2 influenced design, would make it look very nice if I say, put a copy of Soul Calibur next to Soul Calibur II
