Well apenently Super Mario 3D Land promotes skinning animals. There is a game were you are a skinless tanooki chasing after Mario flying in your skin.

I must make a disturbing confession:  When Super Mario 64 first came out, I soon realized that in the snow world you could drop the baby penguin off the cliff.  So, I used to take the baby penguin to his mother, allow her to show the star, then re-kidnap the baby penguin and throw him off the cliff before I grabbed the star.  In addition, I also threw the lil monkey from the mountain stage off the cliff - he deserved it though!  He was annoying.  Suck on that, Peta

Actually, I have done it. You have to keep the mother following you while you carry the baby. You do this by picking up and putting down the baby. When she gets to the cliff, drop the baby and she'll go with it.
