A CAGer asked me to submit my SNES collection and I went ahead and browsed some of my boxes and this is what I have access to that isn't uploaded yet.

I just don't know how to upload these. I have a scanner but I don't have access to photo shop, would I just upload the raw scans here and have someone else do the work?

On to the titles:

Phantasy Star 2 and 3, and Shinning Force should all easy, they're just inserts and should scan well.
Sonic 3 is a cardboard box and is part of the "Mega Hits Series".
All of the boxes are in either really good shape or are just a little rough on the corners. Ogre Battle and the NES Tengen Tetris are the only ones that I am concerned with.

How do I scan the boxes? Do I empty them and break them flat so the scanner door closes? Or do I just leave the door open and leave the box as it is?

I had good luck scanning some stuff with the door open but for the best results, breaking them down flat would be best.

Snowcone is in the process of setting up a raw uploads area, where you can upload and someone else can edit it into a nice cover and clean it up.

Thanks for wanting to contribute!

Yep ... if they are cardboard boxes just flatten them so you have one spine showing with front/rear and scan them at 300dpi. Snowcone will let us know when he has the dump site ready to go.

The main issue with NES that I see going by the comments is actually what case to use. If they dont have the insert cover like the media shelving ones then they wont look very good if the cover is inside the case. That leaves removing tabs from the media shelving case. Although I dont know how easy that is as I havent tried it [ I dont know much about NES ... whatever that is  :) ] at least the sizing format for the case is already a know quantity when creating covers.
