  • ...and that's the bottom line
I hink you have an outstanding collection. Lots of nice games.

Say, how's Pariah for Xbox. I was interested in this game and it's pretty cheap. Thing is, the reviews are mixed. Range from mediocre to good. I don't expect this game to blow me away or anything, I just want a solid shooter without any major flaws. So would you recommend this game to a shooter fan who's willing to forgive some minor flaws?

Yeah, its alright. I mean, its no halo or anything, but its got some nice weapons, and its fun.  and if you can get it cheap go for it.

i just kinda put them up on a bookshelf more or less in the order in which i buy them.  i have three book shelfs, with all my games divided up in each.  i actually didnt realize i had that many games until i started making a list.

I use to play the pc version, I enjoyed the multiplayer, I never even touched the single player part of the game, I wonder how active the community is...

I've been keeping all my games since i started playing games back in '91 when I first got my gameboy. All of my games I bought new still have their boxes! Quite amazing if you ask me, and all of them are in imulate shape (my dad always told me to keep them). I have never sold a game that i've owned, with the exception of two games which I got as a gift and I already had (Asteroids and Pac-Man). Quite Impressive if you ask me.

  • ...and that's the bottom line
Is Ghost in The Shell: Stand alone complex any good. I'm a fan of the series and it looked like a mediocre but solid action game. Is it worth it if you're a fan?

It's iffy. The PSP Version is 100% better than the PS2 version, though I can't really complain as I got the game for free.

Nice list of games you got there. I'm a cheapass and usually end up getting my games used (or that's just the lack of money)

Anyway, if you have a scanner and wouldn't mind, could you upload the inside of the sleeve for Daxter on the psp?

My collection has dwindled to nothing but a shell of it's former self. I'm sorta in the process of re-building my collection right now, though I haven't gotten far. Oh how I wish I still had my Genesis games and all of my old NES games :(

Consoles:
Nintendo (non-working  :()
Super Nintendo
Playstation 2 (slim version)

NES
Dig Dug 2
Excite Bike
Mega Man 2

SNES
Chrono Trigger
Donkey Kong Country
Final Fantasy III
Killer Instinct
Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
Mega Man X
Mortal Kombat II
Samurai Shodown
Super Game Boy
Super Ghouls 'N Ghosts
Super Mario All Stars + Super Mario World
Super Mario Kart
Super Mario RPG
Super Street Fighter II
Star Fox
Yoshi's Island

Playstation
Mega Man Legends 2
Rival Schools (evolution disc only, found it at a friend's house and he said I could have it)
Silent Hill

Playstation 2
Fatal Frame
Fatal Frame II
Final Fantasy X
Final Fantasy XII
Guilty Gear XX Accent Core
Metal Gear Solid 2
Metal Gear Solid 3
Mortal Kombat Armageddon
Silent Hill 2
Silent Hill 3
Street Fighter Alpha Anthology
Street Fighter Anniversary Collection

A bit pathetic compared to some of the impressive collections I've seen. None of these were bought new, and nothing save for the ps2 games and my ps1 copy of Silent Hill have cases. But that's why I'm here right?

Any thoughts on my (puny) collection?

AppleQueso: Well, you do have some nice titles in there. I'd really like to get my hands on Mega Man Legends 2, but I don't have that kinda cash to blow. The SNES collection is small but stellar, almost all those games could well be contenders for 10 best SNES games. Also, Mega Man 2 is obviously classic.

If you wanna increase your PS1 collection, look for Greatest Hits titles, as they tend to be the games that very well defined the PS1, not to mention are usually much cheaper. An obvious recommendation is to get Metal Gear Solid. I'd also recommend Rayman. If money is no object, it's hard to go wrong on a ps1 RPG; it's just, well, money is always an object.

As for your NES collection, I find your lack of Mario games disturbing. Of course, work on getting that puppy working before you build a collection, but SMB and SMB3 are a must. The NES classics are pretty easy to pick out, so just go with the obvious choices before you fill in the cracks with obscure titles. If you get MGS for ps1, may as well get Metal Gear for the NES. Have a nice little collection.

Man ... I hate these " my collection is THIS big" kind of threads. It's bad enough in other forums .....now this one?

Dont get me wrong ... I think upping photo's of the collection in UGC cases is great ... but do we need lists a mile long?

Oh well .... back into game cover retirement I go ....... well ... maybe I'll convert doubledown's raws soon if I feel in the mood
