I bet tiktektak rejected someone's cover and they freaked out and sent a bunch of bots here.

Little did that person know however that all that was wrong with the cover was an incorrect barcode.

This is why I'd like that the Cover Admins would tell artists what is wrong with the covers. ;)

Why don't we have an auto-ban filter for phrases like "ugg boots" and "home casino"?

Because someone can use such words (not a spammer) and will be banned because of this.
From my point of view the safe system is that when a new member post something will wait the confirmation from administrator to approve it or not (if it is a spammer will be banned; if it is a user, the comment will be approved or something like this; anyway if are lots of spammers and adminstrator can't do all the process then the system after a period, maybe 2 weeks, will banned the user because the confirmation was not approved by the administrator - I named this system auto-cleaning).
In principle it is something simple and no one will be harm in the process but I don't know if it possible to implement this on this forum.

Where did they come up with the name 'ugg' for boots, anyway?  Sounds almost neanderthal.  ;D

Besides, 'Ugg' to me will always be that purple pig thing from Q*Bert.

Until a solution is enforced, is it still wise to show the latest forum posts on the front page?

you're probably seeing more, as I have stopped deleting them now - totally bored with it.

I know it's one of my duties as a guru, but it's got out of hand and no preventative measures seem to be in progress  >:(

Actually I stopped deletion few weeks ago, just to show how bad the situation is.
I still ban (as you might have noticed many spammers were banned but not deleted).

So pleeeease do the change I asked, so we finally would lessen thespam amounts.
Ban log is getting so long that it is getting hard to unban people. or allow wider banning again.

If you honestly think you have the time to manually activate members Arseen then you have my support.

Yes I have.

Activating members and ignoring spammers takes less time than hunting and deleting them from the members list.

Thank you.

I'm too on a strike until something is done!

After all tihngs said and discussed we can't implement anything considering activation or spam prevention.
2 + 3 = 23

Does anybody else except The Allmighty Snowcone have power to do that what I asked.

It would clear the problem for the time being, until something better is implemented.

If yes: Do it.
If no: Please Snowcone aid us lowly beings.

Why are you "hunting and deleting" them from the members list?

Didn't Snowcone directly instruct us not to delete members who we *think* are spammers and only delete those who have spammed on the forums?
