It is noted as having a full sleeve. $.42 each and not having to buy 100 to get them would be nice.

Yep .... I think 50-754 is the part number for the case WITHOUT the full sleeve. Who would want those though?

I had a look at the cases again last night. The inserts are quite thin plastic so I dont think it's a big issue to rip them out at all. And they'll sit perfectly next to the N64 collection too  :)

I already broke a couple blades cutting plastic on DS cases...I'd rather just pay a little extra for someone to mod them for me.

There's nowhere to put the cover if you don't get cases with a sleeve! :)

Hey everyone! I've been coming here for over a year now, but this is my first post! First I wanted to say thanks to Snowcone. I love what you've done with the site. It just keeps getting better and better.

Anyway, on the topic of NES Covers, I'm highly interested in getting the project off the ground. I’m a big collector of NES software. I currently have 71 NTSC NES games with plans to expand my collection shortly. Unfortunately, all that protects them is their dust covers and many of them don’t have dust covers. After reading through this thread, I've learned that the best case option would be to modify Universal Slim Combo Game cases with sleeves.

Luckily, to modify a USCG case to hold NES carts is far easier than to modify a DS case to hold a Gameboy or Gameboy Color cart. But, even if I modify enough cases to hold all of my NES games, a more serious problem arises. Where will I be able to find scanned covers for games that are all 15-20 years old?

My photoshop skills are decent so I could make a few custom covers from scratch for popular games such as Zelda or Mario 3 since the internet is full of source material. However, more obscure games such as Master Chu and the Drunkard Hu or Karnov would prove much more challenging.

I checked out NintendoAge.com, which has a rather large archive of NES covers, but the scans there are of poor quality, watermarked, and much too small to be used to fit to Universal Slim Combo Game cases. There are also broken links for a lot of games.

Despite all these challenges, I am willing to fight the uphill battle to achieve an NES cover collection. Snowcone if you could, please add an NES section. I'm going to be working on a few custom NES covers over the next few days and once they are done, as it stands now, there will be no place to post them.  Thanks and feed free to post some feedback.
