Oh I have Metroid Prime lol..it was one of my most antisipated games ever. Im not one of those people who preorders games very often. In fact, very very rarely. In fact, in my entire gaming history, I can only remember preordering the following:
Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddys Kong Quest: The earliest game I can remember preordering when preordering was a brand new thing. I had seem gameplay in some mall or something and man I knew that I had to get this game, no matter how much allowance it would cost me

. This was the first game I bought on my own with my own money and it was a pretty scary thing for a kid......but man was it worth it. To this day it reamins one of my all time favorite games.
Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete (PSX) came with game, HARDCOVER manual, music CD, CLOTH map, and a rock-em-sock-em style Gallion. it was awesome. I still have all that stuff stashed away.
Rouge Squardren (N64) anyone whose old enough and played games in the n64 era will remember just how big of a deal this game was and how much ass it kicked. Compared to its sequals and other Star Wars games since it doesnt hold up as well but it was still a real marvel at its time. I had to preorder it because it had me freaking out since Shadows of the Empire pissed me off so much!
Pokémon Gold (GBC) since before Pokémania really hit the mainstream I was already a big fan. I distinctly remember playing the game before the English version anime aired. Playing it on my Super Gameboy on a 13" Commodore 64 monitor freaking out how cool this game was. Pokémon Gold and Silver were almost as intsipated to me as Super Mario Bros. 3 was to the slightly older gamers when it came out.
Metroid Prime (GC) Super Metroid in 3D?! That thought alone was enough to warrent my preorder.
Megaman Anniversary Collection (PS2) Rockman Complete Works English Version. Amazing. As a kid the Megaman games were by far my favorite games of all, and even today I am an awful sucker for the games Capcom whores out annually. From the classic series (my all time favorite to X (second favorite) to Legends (loved it) to Battle Network (different, but still good) to Zero (lot like X) and now ZX and whatever Capcom is going to call the DS sequal to Battle Network, I am way too much of a Megaman fanboy for my own good

Sorry about the rant, felt like being vocal tonight!
