Converting Super Nintendo covers to DVD (regular) size?

Pages: (1/2) > >>

thomasoo:

Hello,

I wish to convert the Super Nintendo covers (which are currently made to fit in Universal boxes) to fit in (regular spine) DVD cases.
Do you know if I need to use Photoshop to adjust size or is UndercoverXP is able to resize it? I would like the spine not to overrun on both front and back covers (as such, the spine would be adjusted to fit on the dvd spine, as well as both front and back covers)...

Thank you so much for your advices :-)

Seraph Man:

You'd probably have to make the spines from scratch, but the front and back should be fine. If you're gonna make it yourself, you could either adjust the current images so the spine is 169px, or just cut and paste the front and back of the SNES covers onto any DVD cover and make your own spine from there.

Why are you using DVDs anyway? Making some to represent your Virtual Console library, or do you simply have no desire to store them in UGCs? In either case, I'd actually recommend Slim cases to act as placeholders, so you can fit more without wasting as much space on empty cases.

Arseen:

I don't see the point either.

You can't fit Snes cart in normal DVD-case, and if it's for storing ROM on memory cart, normal DVD-cases are too big, same goes to storing manuals.

ShoothimNow:

If you are going to do that.... why don't you make it more useless and use slimline cases?  If you can't place the game inside, you are wasting space?

Thank you for your comments!
Indeed, I would like to get covers for my Virtual Console library. As I am a - very - beginner in using Photoshop, I was wondering if there was a very easy way to convert them to the dvd size (regular or slim). Now, I know that I have to convert it from the scratch...
Thanks again,
Thomasoo
