Grabbed a lot of NES games.

CIB games - not trying to really collect CIB but they were cheap and I wanted the manuals.  Pretty sure there are a couple needed for the site.  I will try and scan them once I get access to a scanner.

Yeah, I've done that as well with a few titles.  Incidentally, I don't have a scanner myself so once I get a few together I'll start a begging thread to see if anyone wants to scan them in for me.  Right now I only have Krion Conquest and Terra Cresta (I have boxes for two others but we already have them).

A few pics of the updated setup - mainly just condensed all the newer gen (well later than NES) stuff to make it fit and cased quite a few more NES games.

Both Shelves - Shelves on right are Ikea Billy Bookcases - Shelf on left is an Ikea Expedit 5 x 5 model

NES (mostly) Shelf - Cased games, loose carts, CIB Consoles, Strategy Guides

"Rest of my Collection" Shelf

I apologize for the blurry photos.  I still only have an iphone for taking pictures.

I'm pretty much at capacity for shelf space so I'll have to replace the 5 x 5 unit with more of the Billy bookcases as I finish casing my collection.

I don't expect it to grow too much in the near future as I'm trying to target the more expensive games before they get even more expensive.

I love the look of those shelves, they blend well with the room and display the games quite nicely. And I must say, I love the PS3 collectors edition of Catherine, she just sticks out and makes you go, hello  ;)

Damn, now you have me on the fence again. I wanted to ikea units but I couldn't stand the wasted space. Now, that you have them up they look clean and are a lot taller than what I have currently. Crazy thing is, to fit what I have I would need almost 2x the amount of those ikea shelves just because of the wasted space and not sure if I have room for that. That said I am still eyeballing some for all the collectors editions I have for at the moment I just have them lining the tops of all my shelves and its an mess.

That said, great stuff and looks like you have a lot of snes games to cover =)

I plan to replace the one that wastes space with 3 more shelves like I have on the other wall. I can fit 3 of the wider shelves on the left wall.  It's just a matter of buying them.

It's $100 per bookcase and then you need to buy 2 more shelves at $20 each to maximize space.

I'd rather put the cash towards some games.

One cool thing is that for the ps1 games on the bottom left of the right shelves are faced up to the front by using empy UGCs in behind them.  Its a good option if you don't want the games recessed into the bookcase

Looks sexy!  Have you decided if you're going to keep your cover-less NES games in the naked UGCs?  I tried doing that with mine and didn't care for the way it all looked.

I gave my boxes to a buddy as he collects cib.

He's the same guy that did scans for "Sneak" a while back.

I'll ask him to scan those.

Mojoe are these the shelves you are using on the right?

Larger two: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/13690607/#/40071788 (also found: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/10208472/#/90208473  can't tell the difference except for $19)

Smaller one in the middle: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/40085709/#/00085711

Those are what I'm using.

The more expensive one is just deeper which you won't need.

Kinda pisses me off how they are $80 in the USA and $100 in Canada seeing as the dollar is near par.

I'm waiting for a sale or to find some good condition used ones before I buy 3 more.

Yeah $100 is stretching it a bit.  How much are the extra shelves if you don't mind me asking?  I'm guessing they gouge you on those.
