Some questions about Sonic Generations fo those that played it

I'm considering buying this game.  However after the disappointment that was Sonic 4, I'm a little skeptical about this being the much hyped "return of Sonic". So I have a few questions for those that have played this game.

1.  When you charge a spindash and release it do you go speeding across the screen at super-sonic speed in ball form, or do you sluggishly roll forward and come to a stop?

2.  When you roll down a hill do you speed up like an actual ball would or do you defy the laws of physics and slow down?

3.  When you use the homing attack does it actually home in on nearby enemies, or does it fail to register their presence and take you out of ball form midair leaving you vulnerable to taking a hit?

Thanks in advance!

Spinballs go super fast, pick up speed during a decline, and homing attack works great. There's a demo on Xbox Live, so you can try before you buy. It's an accurate comparison.

....And the Demo is AWESOME!!! My girlfriend want me to buy it so we can play it together ... yeah i got a keeper  ;)

Seraph Man:

You can beat it in a day, admittedly. But beating Generations is like beating Arkham City; there's so much to do, beating it is just the beginning.

The skills thing feels kinda pointless though. :-\

The ps3 demo I played had some seriously nasty lag that made the game all but unplayable for me. Shame too, seemed like it might've been really neat.
