Mediashelving doesn't have them, they only have black and clear ones,

But, this website had them, I just did a search in yahoo, for white slim dvd cases and that popped up, I don't know how good they are, but if they have good customer service, you save over $20 compared to mediashelving.

Why couldn't you just stretch the cover out so that there is no white?

Oh, and could you give me exact measurement for the side and spine, because I keep on getting different results.
Man, I'm stoopidd. ::)
The measurements I've been using is 91 across for the spine and 1529 for the back. I used the Sega CD cover to get that. Not exact, sorry.:( I just zoomed in way far on the Sega CD cover to get my measurements. When I re-uploaded my NES cover/template, it kept the same links! w00t!

Oh, well, I guess I'll just knock up a cover, just as long as I know how big the spine is, that's all that really matters because then I could just work around it...

My guess was that he was talking about meritline, which I gave a link to in my last post. Here it is again.
http://www.meritline.com/white-single-7mm-slim-dvd-case.html

Finished an SNES template and made a cover for Super Mario World.
SMW
Template

Once I get them all done I'll put them all together. Any ideas for Turbographx 16? No cover art here for that. :-\
Done with Genesis. Just the template.
Template

Now I'm working on the multi-template.

I'm gonna throw an idea out here, and ya can take it or leave it, but here it goes...

What about putting a skinny white bar on the top of the back cover with the controller logos in the corner so it matches up with the backs of the rest of the Wii games.  Then, put another white bar on the left (or right, guess it doesn't matter) side of the back with the game's VC description.  The two-part bar should help keep the back side of the box from being stretched in a way that just doesn't look as nice as it should.

And if someone is really feeling creative, the covers could be designed similar to the Famicom Mini series...

Put the original system's logo where the "Famicom Mini" logo is, put the Wii logo where the GBA logo is, replace the maroon bar at the top with a white-Wii-ish bar and the maroon bar at the bottom with a plain white bar with the Nintendo logo.  Put the game's current rating where the CERO logo is (since a lot of these older games don't have ratings on the box) and replace the Famicom Mini background texture with something designed for the Virtual Console, perhaps the "Channel" menu from the Wii....

Look at the Konami's Best cover for Castlevania DoS. Just say no to tilted covers. What is cool about the Famicom minis is that's a replica mini box.
Good Idea, but I've sacrificed enough ink as it is. (I think there were FOUR GIANT prints of my MK64 cover before I got it correctly sized. :()
The only issue is where the white bar goes. The covers don't look too bad stretched but I think my original LoZ cover was better because of the proportions. Thankfully I don't plan on owning any NES VC game(except for JAP SMB2), and an even less chance of Genesis(Japan gets 200 points off? Not fair)
Here's the paint.net file, I'll get the layers uploaded seperately in a few.

layers go from top to 2 to 3 to 4 at the bottom.

Here is my own interpretation of what a VC cover should look like.

It's still not finished, and the lower part of the back needs to be redesigned - but I think it gets the point across.

Dante_Ali, I think I hate you. Nice job. Better than mine by a longshot. The lower back part does need to be smaller or even removed totally. Any reason for doing a japanese cover? Do you have a jap Wii?
I still like thinpaks better.
judog, did you unzip it?

judog1: It didn't take that long compared to some of the other covers I did. I will be posting the PSD as soon as I have settled on a final look. It will be possible to switch between formats (Super Nintendo, NES, N64) and regions by simply toggling groups of layers on/off.

Doom: I based my template on another template - the lower back part was originally of that height. Nevertheless, I do agree it needs to be reduced in size, simply because a lot of it doesn't make sense for Virtual Console games - such as the Dolby Prologic II icon.

The reason I did the Japanese cover first was simply because I like the Japanese artwork best (BTW, I own an European Wii). Like I said earlier, I think it's best to make region-specific covers for each game - for the simple reason that the boxart differs a lot.

For instance, here's a preview of the US version I have been working on...

Notice how the region icon, front of the cover, the ratings icon, and the hue of the picture on the back have all changed. Also, I swapped Link with Zelda on the back.

The game description (IMO) should stay the same for all versions - maybe we should substitute the Super Nintendo logo for a Super Famicom logo for Japanese covers.

BTW, I added Agahnim to the cover because I thought it looked cool. If it's not wanted, I will remove it for the final cover.

As for Thinpaks - you could make your own derivative based on my own version as soon as I have posted the PSD. (ATM it'a mess - about 30MB total, and lots of redundant stuff).
