I have an everdrive as im never going to collect all the games available, but i have to admit even though its the same game its not the same as plugging in an original cart. I continue to purchase games i really want but I have stopped buying random games and use the ED for those and checking games out to see whats worth buying. |

A repro should be possible, a FX1 chip cart (Stunt Race FX over clocked) should suffice. --- End quote --- No, you'll need a Super FX 2 game for that. The Super Mario Chip/FX 1 is limited in a number of ways. The only real repro for Yoshi's Island hacks is Yoshi's Island. |

FX1 had a 21mhz clock speed, but it was halved to 10.5mhz by a divider, FX2 was full 21mhz. By putting in a 27mhz quartz crystal on the board in the place of the ceramic resonator (the blue module), you can overclock an FX1 chip to work like an FX2 chip. the most common cart to use in a Starfox 2 repro is Stunt Race FX through this workaround. |
