Yes. The Super Powerpak is an overall economical way to play all the games you want regardless of region locks. There are some EXCELLENT Super Mario World rom hacks that you can put on it that almost make it worth the asking price alone. There are of course the insane difficulty ones, but some rom hacks are created to give fans new worlds for Mario to explore with difficulty on par with the original version.

Then there's the fan translations of the many RPGs that we never got here, such as Final Fantasy V or Live-A-Live. Combined with the ability to run almost all the SNES games out there already, the Super Powerpak is an amazing value.

True, but there is something owning an actual cart with those games, not a pass through to run roms.

thats why I like reproductions more.

Arseen:

I understand both view points. I too am more repro man.

But then there are unfortunately games that neither option helps.

To mention 2:
Super Mario World 2+ and Super Mario World 2+2.
Excelent hacks of Yoshi's Island.

Won't run on Power pack (FX2 chip) and I was told that repros were impossible as well.

But luckily there is the third option:
Mini computer with actual SNES pad.

A repro should be possible, a FX1 chip cart (Stunt Race FX over clocked) should suffice.

I thought so too but the place I get my games done (you know the place I mean) that they can't be done.

But If someone knows how, please tell me.
