I've noticed recently people getting very creative and using all kinds of different sorts of cases for games besides our usual DVD, UGC, and DS cases. I've seen threads for using Cassette, VHS-C, and even Zip Drive cases for games. You could even say that the Poly-Cases fall somewhat outside of the norm.

I'm proposing that we give these alternative cases and whatnot a home on the forum besides just General Discussion. An "Other Cases" section alongside our DVD, UGC, CD, and DS sections in the Artist's Corner.

I second this. It sounds like a neat idea.

Forth! As the one that made the template for the GameBoy Cassette case cover, and is working on more for the case.

Fifth'd! I'd also like to see this. I'm not sure if some of the 8-disc and 12-disc DVD case covers would fit better in this kind of section or in the DVD section, since they are somewhat more specialized cover sizes.

Definitely! I'd like to see all the cardboard boxes in one place too. I've done a few myself and they turned out pretty decent. I'd like to see a section of the forums where they're all showcased together.

I'd like to see a separate section for Cart Labels, that way browsing through, we know what labels we have.

Does anyone with any actual admin/mod power want to comment on this?

Hmmmm.... No. ;D

Actually that could be a good idea but on the other hand in my oppinion it could start demands for more and more sub sections which then could lead to a extremly cluttered forum view.

It doesn't have to be a slippery slope. We could add this one and only this one. Another option is to tack this onto the CD forum since that section doesn't get much use.

Or you could just turn that forum into "Other Cases"?

Hell the entire point of "Other Cases" kinda negates any kind of slippery slope if you think about it.

Besides, what sorts of forums would be added in a slippery slope scenario? It's not like this is a particularly social forum or anything. My suggestion is just to keep things organized a little.
