With my Nintendo Entertainment Series set on hold for now, I've been working on a similar project that I've been wanting to do for a while. This year being the 20th Anniversary of Sonic the Hedgehog, I wanted to commemorate it with a set of custom covers for his small screen adventures, reminiscent of the artwork on old SEGA game boxes.
First, all credit goes to Shenske for his Universal SEGA template, which is the backbone of this set. I wanted it to feel like Genesis boxes, but with a blue scheme (similar to Sega CD, and blue being the color of Sonic)
I've made covers for the first 3 Sonic series: Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog (aka SatAM), and Sonic the Hedgehog: The Movie (aka Sonic OVA). The two television series have episode and disc listings on the back, and all have screenshots and artwork from their respective adventures.
Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog is a 12-disc set, so I recommend picking up a 12-disc dvd case with the 39mm (1.5 inches) wide spine. It will be able to hold all 3 volumes of the series.
Sonic the Hedgehog (SatAM) has been released as a 4-disc set, and as several individual releases. I've included a single width version if you want to pick up a single-width 4-disc DVD case, but I'd personally recommend a case with a 26mm (1 inch) spine width, which is available from 4- to 8-disc capacity. I prefer this because it feels more like a Genesis case, and gives more room for spine artwork. Plus I like this series and it deserves more than a single-width case. 8)
Sonic the Hedgehog: The Movie is only 1-disc, and can be placed in a standard single-width case, though I've provided an "8-disc" 26mm (1 inch) wide version if you prefer for them to all have a similar width to Genesis Cases/UGCs.
In addition, I have 2 different spine styles available to choose from. Style A is shown above, featuring Sonic, Tails/Sally/Hyper Metal Sonic and the title. Style B moves the characters and title up, and includes "SONIC SERIES" banner across the spine, much like Genesis/CD/32X cases.
All of the cases I've mentioned can be purchased here http://www.genesysdtp.com/dvdcase.htm .

When printing I recommend these dimensions:
Single-Width: 10.8 x 7.26 in.
8-Disc: 11.2 x 7.26 in.
12-disc: 11.7 x 7.26 in.
I am planning to complete the collection with Sonic Underground and Sonic X. Sonic Underground will require an 8-disc case, and Sonic X will require a 12-disc case. I haven't watched either show, so I haven't gotten to them yet. I might be open to alternate front cover art as well, since SatAM and Sonic the Movie use the existing DVD artwork. (I put together AoStH from scratch). I hope you enjoy this set! :)
Seraph Man:
Even though it wasn't officially released, would you do one for "Sonic: Night of the Werehog"? It need only be a single disc long (as it is a short).
I'd say make one for the Eddie Lebron movie too, but that one's not out yet.

I hadn't considered either of those, but it sounds like fun. I can definitely do something for the first one, and on the fan film, I'll have to at least wait until there's more artwork/screens or maybe a trailer.

There's been two trailers, actually.

As for artwork, I guess the official site would be your best bet.

But as I said, it's your call, and really, I'm more interested in Night of the Werehog.
