I ask it because I am surprised to find here daily dozens of new covers for "modern" consoles like Saturn and PS1 and practically only 2 authors for these classic consoles. If I am right, because of the age, it should be more easier to get covers for the ps1, Saturn etc.
Not so ?
I feel myself like an intruder here praying for new covers for those systems but also for Arcadia2001 or XE or 7800 or Sega sg1000/sc3000....

or, may be, the answer is that I am the oldest here ( aged 43 ) and collect only prehistorical items.
In this case please let me know where to find a website like this dedicated to so old games.
sigh, I am alone here with my Colecovision surrounded by 32 bit shark games....

The major problem with these older systems is there's so few resources for high-quality box scans.  They're old enough that very few people have kept the boxes for this long and for those who have, the boxes aren't usually in very good condition.  Combine that with the fact that there's just not a whole lot of hard-core retro collectors (compare to, say, NES collectors), there's just not a lot going for those of us who still have our Intellivision hooked up to our flat-panel TVs. :(

I have a good source that says the current holder for the Intellivision name/license actually has really high quality digital copies of all the old Intellivision boxes.  I have attempted, more than once, to open a dialogue with the goal of obtaining these images (similar to what I worked on here, but never had any luck.

our biggest contributor to the coleco/intellivision/atari sections GRUMBLEDUKE, has unfortunately taken a break from the site - not sure if he's coming back or not.  If you have boxes that are in scannable condition - please do, and one of us will pick them up for sure.

My small coleco colleciton is now cased from the covers already submitted (20 or so carts), and not started on my intellivision games yet (only 23 carts)

hi friends
so, thanx for reply, I supposed to be alone here.
Anyway I am surprised to see these systems not so loved here.
Personally have more of 130 carts for Colecovision plus almost all the homebrew released games during 2010 and also have more than 100 carts for Intellivision, some complete with boxes, some also new and sealed ( for Intellivision easy to find them new still sealed ) the point is I want to shelve only those with new covers that's why I push here.
I will try to inform of this site all Colecovisions-Intellivision-Vectrex owners that usually visit sites like ATARIAGE and ATARI2600.com and hope some more fanatic than mine will add here all missing scans.
Is a template for Colecovision or Intellivision available somewhere ?
Thanks you all.

i'll contact GRUMBLEDUKE outside of the forums and see if he will send me his templates.  I thought they were here already, but just checked, and it seems not.

dont think he's left as such - just personal stuff which didn't give him time to drop by so much.

Ah, yeah I can understand.

He's just real friendly and good at what he does. Hope he makes his way back.

Have messaGed grumble on PSN.  Hopefully he'll either drop by and post his templates, or send them on to me
