I printed out a few more inlays for my games. I have an inkjet printer and I realized that I really have to pay attention the level of contrast in pictures before I print. If they don't have enough contrast it comes out looking kind of shitty. Notice the Star Wars inlay with Luke fighting Vader. It's a little tough to tell things apart there, but hey, it beats a blank piece of paper. Thanks

Yeah they can be hard to see sometimes, though mine printed out a little better. Maybe it's the paper I'm using. It's actually just a still from the Blu Ray release that I flipped and cropped. Also the Star Wars geek in me notices you have the ESB and ROTJ carts and cases switched...  :P

Paper makes a world of difference.  If the contrast is poopy, then I'm guessing you're using fairly cheap paper.

If you're going to print on both sides, I highly recommend using some kind of "brochure" paper. It's fairly thick and usually semi glossy on both sides. I'm not sure of availability in legal size, but it's fairly common in letter and 11x17 sizes.

Whatever it is, make sure it's actually intended for 2-sided printing.

Hey dude, I like your covers but I want the retail look for the outside of my games. It would be cool to use your covers for the inlay. Is there anyway you can rework them to not have the Nintendo logos on them and just the game artwork that you use so I can use them as inlays in all of my games?

I did these in MS paint. I have no experience with editing covers so it's probably sloppy, but I like the way my cases look now instead of the blank white paper. Covers from Autobot and Wiggy.

Found some funny/cool artwork on this sticker/t-shirt/poster website. Some of them might make good inlays.

Has anyone made generic inside covers for all of the systems?  I want to print reversible covers for all of my games and while I plan to use all of the awesome art already provided in the thread, I would love to use generic NES/ SNES/ N64 inside covers on all of my other, more obscure, games. For example, I don't need custom inside case art for my Ghoul School cart. However it would be nice to use a generic NES inside cover for this game and all my other games. Any hope for his happening?

Check out page 3. Gil (Gill?) made some system inlays. This is probably my favorite thread; cases look great with the inside art.

Agreed. I just printed my first inside cover the other day and I was absolutely stunned with the results. I saw the Sega inside covers on page 3 and they look amazing. Maybe I'm missing the link somehow but are there any generics like that for nintendo systems? NES/SNES/N64 is what I'm really looking for now.

Hi Larry, you're probably already aware, but your box accounts are down so I can't look at your inlays and it's a bummer. Good stuff here

Didn't see these posted anywhere else so I thought I'd contribute. Building on Gill35's work, I decided to make some generic "per system" UGC inlays of my own. I really liked the minimalist style of his Sega covers with just logos, so built mine with that in mind. I also did minor rearrangements to Gill35's Genesis inlay to make it line up in the modern UGC better.  All of the remaining artwork is taken from Shenske's templates for their respective systems. I just resized or rearranged as necessary. For me, I like this style better than hunting for inlays/artwork for specific games. Just mass printed a bunch at Staples and threw them inside with my existing covers. Here's what I ended up with:

Atari 2600 inlay:

Famicom inlay:

NES inlay:

Super Famicom inlay:

Super Nintendo inlay:

Super Nintendo alternate inlay (Swapped sides, logo isn't covered by cart):

Nintendo 64 inlay:

Nintendo 64 alternate inlay (JP style):

Gil35's Genesis inlay (rearranged for modern UGC):

Enjoy! Or not...  :)
