Like what we are currently doing right now  ;D

This is the best solution.

There is no reason to shut down the Wii section due to piracy, we will just play the waiting game.

For the PS3, I have no problem uploading covers for that section, especially since Hollywood Video sells their ex-rental PS3 games in DVD cases with badly printed covers.
Lish:
Piracy is a hard one.  Have I done it?  Sort of (all right..YES).  I do have a mame cabinet, and I have grabbed abandonware isos for my 3DO and Saturn...and have also thrown a lot in the bin as soon as I obtained a proper replacement through ebay or gametraders (like ebgames but for second hand and classics).

On the other side of the coin, I spend big on games machines and basically have them all (except Jaguar and PS3).  I have dozens of games (original of course) for current generation machines (Xbox 360, Wii, and DS) along with multiple accessories (such as HD-DVD player).  So I guess I'm the good pirate (Captain Jack at your service)..but nonetheless even downloading abandonware is piracy because they always come back with commercial value (look at XBox arcade or the Wii classics downloads...I have Time Pilot in my arcade cabinet..but love it so much I also bought it for my Xbox 360).

But ripping brand new games, driving down profits and driving up software prices...not good.  Why anyway.  Games aren't like pong or Galaga anymore.  They should take months of intense gameplay to finish them.  Your investment should go a long way.

So the question is not so much about piracy in black and white, but where to draw the line.  and I say the line should be drawn on wii, and especially PS3 or Sony will destroy this site.  They shut down Lik sang for a lesser "crime" and are generally litigious (I have an irrational bias here. I will never buy Sony and especially blu-ray..EVER...monopolistic anti-consumer technocratic dictatorial empirical so and so's that Sony are.).  It is impossible for them to stop pirates with their hardware - so they will make scape goats out of innocents like us.

There is no doubt that cover art does not create nor support piracy (err..except of the art itself).  It is however true that a pirate disc in a shiny new case can make the pirate feel that the 50c DVD-R and 20c cover are worth every bit as much as the $70 game.

Maybe we should have a pirates link on the home page sending them to cdcovers.cc or somewhere else....

Sorry, got carried away

nah, I agree with you for the most part(I, myself, emulate arcade games I'd never be able to play otherwise).  All decisions lie on Snowcone tho; I wanna see his opinion on it.
